Khan getting jobbed on Saturday night is bad for the sport of boxing.

Khan won that fight without the deductions from the stupid ref.

Peterson only won 4 clear rounds that's it.

Khan won 7-5 at most. Personally, I had it 6-6.

It's sad that people are still clinging to the Khan got cheated...I mean would it really make it any better if they gave him the decision? He still got beat up, ran like *****, can't fight on the inside, and got outclassed by Lamont Peterson regardless whether he "won" or "lost" per the judges.

But seriously, based on what? You think he'll be a better infighter in the next fight? You think Lamont will get worse? I mean what would honestly lead you to believe it will be so much different? To be honest I'm not sure that Peterson won't stop Khan this time...I guess we'll see.

 

People forget the knockdown was a bit lucky. Ref didn't annoy me as much as some people but you have to say Khan was an idiot pushing Peterson across the ring with his elbow in his face.This was early too in the fight, after this the ref was always going to be on him.

Hitting after the break as well just all round stupid. Makes me wonder is this what he's doing in the gym and nobody is correcting him.

Yeah the points were weak(for the actual offence at the time not a collective penalty which is stupid) but everyone could see when the ref took the first point of and Khan couldn't push or foul he literally fell apart.
My god Peterson was supposed to be a slick boxer he gave all that up ad******g to the fight, once Khan had the point taken he just basically let Peterson run over to him and bang away to the body while he covers up.

This loss puts a road block in Khan's potential stardom but also shows he needs some work to refine his game.

 

you make a good point with the inside fighting, that's something i've noticed a long time ago and was hoping Roach would fix but apparently hasn't. but i do think Khan took Peterson lightly and wasn't on his A-game. I think this lose will make he get dedicated, hopefully learn some inside fighting and come back much better in the rematch. I think Peterson fought the fight of his life, I don't see him getting any better.

And let me say Peterson did everything right that night, he proved himself cause I thought Khan was gonna destroy him. I completely underestimated him, Peterson is a very good fighter. Anything that i've said about Khan is in no way disrespect to Peterson...
