Khan Guerrero looks to be next!

I rate Guerrero, who I'd favour to beat almost all of GBP 140-147 stable (Maidana, Garcia, Thurman, Broner, Alexander, Matthysse, Porter, Malignaggi, etc) with the exception of Khan, who will prove to be too fast.

 

guerreros power might not be enough to crack khans chin. but guerrero is deff gunna try n rough him up and if khan has the right gameplan and skills he should be able to avoid all that n win a decision.

I don't think Khan will be as worried about Guerrero's power as much as Collozo. He hasn't had a KO in 4 and a half years and that was at lightweight against a journeyman who already been stopped a few times.

 

Khan also had no business getting dropped and repeatedly hurt by Julio Diaz, either. But it happened.

Who else has KO'd ortiz with a single punch, Maidana couldn't, berto couldn't yet collazo could. Ortiz jumping in like pacquiao is just totally false, he was countered in the pocket by a short left hook, they were both stationary. Actually Roberts calibre of opponents is only slightly better because of the Mayweather fight. His best are 40 year old Casamayor, war torn Katsidis, Aydin lol, and a ruined Andre berto along with Floyd. Collazo has fought a prime hatton, a decent Shane Mosley who came of the tko vs Vargas, an undefeated confident Andre berto. I don't think Guerrero has power to hurt khan, he hasn't shown it.

1. So Guerrero loses credit for Katsidis and Berto being "shot," yet Ortiz being "shot" couldn't possibly factor into the difference of Collazo KO'ing him with one shot while Maidana and co. couldn't half a decade before? Hmm... Interesting take.

2. You listed Roberts' recent wins, not his best wins. Way to ignore everything he did at 126-130.

3. You say Collazo fought a "prime Hatton" yet I'm guessing you will say Floyd didn't fight a "prime Hatton" and nowhere close because it was at WW. Well, Hatton/Collazo was also at WW.

4. I'm glad you think Berto was "confident" back then. What would we all do without your opinion of his mental state.

I do get that. I really do. But the negatives of that fight are far too glaring to ignore...

First of all, he wasn't facing a WW force and some people will say that draining Diaz 4 pounds is detrimental to his skills and some will even say it is a coward move and shouldn't even be given credit (I not being one of them), if they were consistent. Plus it was last year, not 3 years ago.

That aged Julio Diaz is not someone you should be struggling with if you plan to fight an elite WW. You should not be getting floored and then knocked around the ring for a good several rounds and secure a very narrow points win over him if you plan to be given a serious chance at beating, hell, even 40 year old Marquez... let alone Mayweather, Pacquiao, or Bradley.
