I dont know why your all going on like Khan still has a poor chin. Do you Forget what Maidina did to Ortiz??? Maidina didnt have Khan down once, Khan aint weight drained anymore, he can take some shots.
Ortiz wanted to be stupid and brawl the whole way, so he didn't see some of the **** coming. We all know that's the stuff that hurts. Khan was smart enough to maintain distance and box for parts of the fight.
Some of you people are ******ed. I swear like you don't have the ability to decipher the multiple facets of things. Maidana punches like hell and it hurts. But did you ever see Ortiz wobbling all over the place like Khan? He went down, he had a bruised eye and didn't want to take more punches. I saw Khan looked more hurt in the early rounds than Ortiz ever did. Ortiz just quit... Khan has a massive massive heart. Not only does Khan have a heart, but his chin has improved going up in weight. More importantly, his conditioning has improved with Ariza. And as Ali says... "Your ability to take a good punch depends on conditioning.
I think its more Khan has more heart and determination to win than Ortiz, Ortiz wasn't willing to take what Khan took and come through it.
People claimed Khans chin would be shattered if Maidana landed clean even once well Khan took many clean shots and apart from the 10th he took em well. Maidana is the hardest puncher in the division props to Khan for showing heart of fighter.
you cant assume that of one fight. ortiz was more aggressive and walked into many of maidana shots without seeing them. if there one assumption you can make, as one poster already said, kahn is a more determined fighter then ortiz.
Khan may not have hit the canvas tonight but Ortiz recovered from those big shots on the chin much better than he did, from the moment Khan got caught in the 10th he was all over the place. His general punch resistance was impressive against Maidana but theres no doubt his chin remains a bit suspect. He showed amazing heart though and I couldnt believe he was still standing after taking those shots, to be fair I cant see many fighters in the division not getting dropped after taking those Maidana bombs
Give Khan credit, he won the fight and showed heart. Ortiz quit against the same guy. Khan with his speed would have stopped Ortiz in the first few rounds since if Maidana could hit Ortiz clean, than Khan would hit him faster and cleaner.

Khan has one thing that Ortiz never will. And that is Heart and the Right attitude. I like the kid Ortiz and was willing to cut him considerable slack for what happened against Maidana. But today's fight just sealed the deal for me. Even though I think he got robbed but his attitude sucked in the fight. Being muscled around by someone who is hurt and 9 pounds lighter then you ! Come on. Khan will UD Ortiz whenever they fight.
