Khan was badly hurt, if Limodnd could have jumped on him it would have been over:twisted:  I've always said Khan was a train wreck waiting to happen, and it was nearly derailed badly. Unlucky Limond, you just never finished him. Limond should have been all over Khan, like a 2 dollar *****.

Check out Amir Khans name on wikipedia, he was put down by a right hand from Drilzane who had 0 ko's. I remember the knockdown being a flash knockdown but that and the fact that his opponents were all light hitters started the whole Khan has a bad chin thing.

Well if he does have a china chin then you would have expected him to be Knocked out by several of the punches that Limond landed thereafter. It was clean punch to the temple and Khan got careless. Actually his defense is whats weak inspite of his good reflex.

Actually have you seen that fight, his legs were tangled in between the ropes. It wasnt even a knock down.

man who is Warren going to dig up next. WANTEd: 25-1 fighter with zero KOs.

I like Khan he seems like a nice kid. A real anti-Hamed. but hes obv a brutal KO waiting to happen. too bad really. oh well hes made more already than 99% of boxers ever will in a lifetime.

It's too bad, the kid has some skills. He coulda been a contenda but for the 5th-rate chin. Punchers are going to be dying to fight him and make a name off of him.

Some of these people STILL can't seem to put 2 and 2 together on this. I suspect even when he gets LAID OUT COLD by the first decent fighter he faces who can punch, these guys will trot out the usual BS, like "that punch woulda knocked anybody out..." :patsch

Khan legs did get tangled, but he was knocked seriously off balance by someone with 0 ko's, that should never happen. Limond further exposed his chin but in a more definitive way.

so true, people on this forum use that saying WAY too much. Khan has a Glass Jaw just as you and I and others tried to tell these people.

The way I see it Khan hasn't got a great chin. But.. it's NOT as bad as people are making out. Limond is usually happy to just box his way to UD's and has underrated power. If anyone actually saw the fight, Limond had done his homework on Khan, and counter punched Khan when he came rushing in. If someone WALKS into a punch it's more likely to have more of an effect.

Khan got caught flush by 4-5 good punches before finally being put down by a sledgehammer (or basically a downwards kinda punch still legit), when he was tripping over his own feet, if Khan had shown more composure it wouldn't have happened, he stuck his chin in the air, after being wobbled, his own fault. But Limond landed some good clean punches on Khan throughout the fight.. only that one really had an effect. He was up straight away.. (and still visibly buzzed) but managed to get through, and took some more flush shots, well i might add. But hold on, no-one has actually mentioned that.

The thing that i'm more concerned in, is the fact people WANT him to be KO'd. Okay he doesn't have a good chin, but, he's a good fighter, he's only 20, and he came through a big test tonight. He came back & stopped Limond, infact anihalating his face into a bloody mess. He showed guts & heart. I can't wait to see him fight again, and to be fair, Khan learnt alot more from this fight, than any other fight. And in his 13th fight to be fighting a 28-1 fighter, who is a fantastic pro. And coming through to win, is a mean feat. You saw Khan tested tonight, although he got buzzed he still won.

I think people should be slagging off Sprott and Skelton rather than Amir. Amir & Limond both deserve props, it was a fantastic fight.

Definately china-chinned, but I see as a real shame as he's a good kid with excellent skills, speed, heart a and bit more of a dig than I'd previously expected. I cant understand why people on this board seem to take pleasure in his weakness. Surely its better for boxing as a whole if a skilled and exciting fighter like Kahn has a good enough chin too compete at world level?

i agree with the consensus here. The kid lacks that cutting edge which is needed to propel him into world class. The lightweight division now and historically is one of the most competitive in boxing.Khan was an outstanding teenage amateur who's silver at the Olympics cant be understated but that achievement carries no weight when he enters into the ring with the top Mexicans and central americans, guys who were beating up grown men at the ages of 15 and bona fide seasoned veterens by 21.

I think you lot are being a bit harsh on him. He got dropped but so what? It happens to the best of them. You're all acting like he lost when in fact he got up and turned the fight around in the very next round. Surely that's something to be praised?

I fully expect him to lose some fights because his chin isn't granite but he can still be succesful as he's got the talent in other departments to compensate. I'm not Khan's biggest fan or anything but I think you're going overboard in criticising a young guy like this just for getting knocked down on his way to a stoppage victory.
