Props to Khan- I think he is overhyped, however, he DID comeback and he DID win (via a breakage of Limon's nose and possibly his jaw). The kid did real well :good

It was a fantastic fight! Well done to both. Khan showed heart and courage and a winner's mentality. Yes!

But the reason why people want him to get KO'd is because they feel that he is overhyped and arrogant and disrespectful. He says stuff like: "I am better than all domestic competition and will be the youngest British World Champion ever." What is more, he says stuff like "I have a good chin, as I have proved tonight (against Limond)". Before the fight, he said how predictable Limond would be and how he would have "0 chance". After the fight he said he never felt he was in trouble!...

It is for comments like these that people want him brought down a peg or five.

p.S. in Britain, you have to be really flashy and be able to back it all up in order to get away with being arrogant.

I posted this thread when Khan was still down.

And i think people need to read what we "haters" are saying. It's not that Khan was knocked down. ****, any good boxer can be knocked down or even out. It's a bunch of things combined.

He suffered a delayed stumble in the amatuers. The sign of a glass chin, no?

His team have put him in with some of the lightest hitting competition at his weight. They may be good fighters, but he is better. They know the only way he can be beaten at this stage, is by a boxer with a punch.

He got hurt against these weak hitters in the pros. Remember when he was up against the ropes and to hit with an arm punch early in his career? His legs buckled!

Limond, who is a very weak puncher and has 4 of those KO's at 130, had Khan on ***** street.

This isn't some stupid witch hunt. Khan has a weak chin. Fact.

Since he said he'd beat Mayweather, who'd KO him with a jab, I've wanted him to lose. I still like him, but want him to get KOed to humble him.

I do agree with you (some what), that Khan is very overrated. But, I'm still withholding judgement on the glass jaw issue. However, Khan has great size for 135, and if he's able to stay there for a year or two, he should pick-up a couple of straps.

I like him too. I just don't understand why he started acting and mouthing off like an ass...He ain't Naz. He never will be. He should just be himself. Maybe it's because he's young. But maybe the hype got to him and he starts believing it himself. That is stupid and dangerous. And arrogance really doesn't suit him. Let's hope he changes back to what he used to be QUICK! Otherwise people will turn against him. This often happens in Britain with the big stars.

Thank you for a good post Khan is overhyped but is also talented this fight could be the making of him if he realises his faults and works on his talents.

The toughest thing is that you can't teach a guy how to have a chin. If he doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. You can protect a guy's weak chin (like Manny Steward protected Lennox Lewis' glass jaw), but you can't make it any stronger.

Khan is going to have to be careful in matchmaking, IMO.

You have laid out the case perfectly sir!:good Too bad some of these "that punch woulda put anybody on the canvas, even though he's a light-hitter" types STILL don't seem to get it. Like I said, they'll be makin' the same ol' excuses that everybody makes for these china-chinned wonderboys when he gets laid out cold by the first decent puncher he faces.:patsch

I expect him not to lie so blatantly! He doesn't have to talk about his chin at all. He could just avoid the topic altogether. I know he's not a politician, but he's not stupid either. But he INSISTS on making certain comments that are completely uncalled for, not to mention unwarranted, when nobody is really pushing him to do so. Why? You tell me, if you don't agree with my analysis...
