Unfortunately for Khan, those hand-picked feather-fisted give 'ems are a bit too taxing for him at this stage. :patsch

You guys should respect every fighter. This guys is only 20 year old and he is fighting tough opposition already. He will get a lot better and be very hard to hit clean in a couple of years. He was hit hard tonight and came back like a champion in a FOYT candidate :deal !

Stop with the hating, you guys are jealous, it is always hard to rate the chin of somebody, look at Judah, stagger from a Baldomir jab and then receive massive amount of punch from Cotto without going down until late.

It's like people saying Cotto have no chin, Cotto does have a good chin, he was NEVER down from a punch, he was hurt yes from different fighter, but never went down as he seem to get hurt by 1 punch but manage to take well the further shot.

All that to say we will have to wait more before judging Amir Khan. It is bizarre with you ESB, in every fight somebody must be exposed, what the point of thinking that :deal ?

Well that's new, a Brit sticking up for Lenny...*yawn*

Look, Len had two 1-punch KO loses. After that Manny Stewart taught him how to clinch like he loved the guy he was fighting. It preserved his china chin, and allowed him to continue to fight.

The guy could break his jaw from a stiff wind. I'm sorry if you can't accept that for your former "He claims everything from being Canadian to being Jamaican but we Brits need someone to root for so we'll claim him" champ, but those be the facts. Everybody shook Lewis, from Bruno to Mercer to Briggs to Rahman to McCall to...

As the saying goes in your country, his chin is 'dodgy;' the guy can't take a punch and never could. It's damn fortunate for him that Steward rescured his glass-jaw-possessing, RJJ's-bigger-brother-with-the-same-chin-momma-havin' behind. If not, he would have been just another big guy who couldn't take a shot.

He was undoubtedly hurt and seemed a little unsteady for the next 30 secs before regaining his composure and getting his jab going again. The following round he dominated and dropped Limond, breaking his jaw in the process. All in all, it was a good recovery and he definitely showed some heart but he's not fighting high enough level guys yet to say his recovery is in the class of those two IMO. Still, you couldn't have asked him to respond any better.

Khan can still have a good career he need's to learn how to box denfisive and protect his chin.
That will get him a long way if he does not make them improvements he is going to get ko'ed by anyone with a half decent punch. But he is young and still learning the trade so their is still hope for him

Because he was WAY over-hyped - the next great thing. But now that his china-chin has been exposed, fans won't take him as seriously any more.

I love it when one of these hype jobs gets exposed. Particularly if it's a glass jaw that causes it, too!:yep

maybe some hardcore fans won't be interested anymore and will look to jump on him at any moment, but his popularity in the uk is probably even bigger now. they saw a 20 year old kid get off the canvas, show great heart and break his opponents jaw and stop him fairly brutally.

Yup, he's even more popular now with the average fight fan that he was before. They like guys that show guts and are involved in exciting fights which is what Khan displayed last night. He's got a HUGE question mark about his jaw but this cash cow's still alive and kicking.

your not calling him a china chinned joke, alot of ppl here are though and its just pathetic, I dont like the guy that much but for his 13th fight against someone far more experienced, he did great and deserves credit, he got hurt badly and he showed heart, some ppl have a poor defenition of a "joke".

Maybe "joke" is a strong word - that should be reserved for those who get utterly TKFO by light-hitters, like Fraudley did. :yep But as A-Farce showed everybody, winning in the medals in the amatuers means next to nothing in the pros. I've been seeing how these Olympic fighters get overhyped for 30 years. Some, like Sugar Ray Leonard, turn out to be ATGS, others like Leon Spinks - well you get the idea.

Boxing fans should be careful hopping on bandwagons before a figther has proved ANYTHING in the pros. Particularly when a fighter's handlers appears to be carefully selecting tomato cans for their lack of punching power, and then the first halfway decent fighter he faces - also carefully selected because he had a low KO percentage - puts him on the deck.

Those are the classic signs that the handlers KNOW the guy's got a glass jaw. Doesn't make him a "joke" maybe - yet - but it sure does make his future very questionable! :nod

No wonder you rate Holyfield above Lewis and all the other boxers of the 90s and early 00s - because you place far higher importance on chin than all other skillsets and strengths of a boxer combined.

Khan showed great heart and has won the commonwealth title in his 13th pro fight against a far more experienced opponent with only one loss on record before facing Khan.

That's pretty good, give the kid some credit.

He certainly has not been "exposed".
