excellent post i guess they want him to go after the big punchers NOW... they want khan to try to secure a fight with lucas or provodnikov and based on recent performance, khan would get murdered... but agree with you to his credit he has been in there with big hitters and attempted to avenge his loses... the only loss he did not try to avenge was the prescott loss and that makes sense since another loss to prescott early on in his career would send him into retirement.. and now it doesn't make sense because prescott is no where to be found in the boxing world
I guess Judah, Prescott, Maidana, and Garcia all had no power as demonstrated by their high KO%. And Maidana was coming off destroying Ortiz when he fought Khan. Many had picked Maidana to KO Khans so called glass jaw. Khan being the champ fought in Petersons backyard with Petersons uncle being the referee.
There is this weird paradox going on in which Floyd fans are trying to discredit Khan and build up Maidana as it's suits their obsessive agenda. The problem being with this that Khan holds a W over Chino. Both were terrible options but that's what we got. Let's not pretend either was a good choice. It's amazing how Khan is apparently so much worse a fighter than a week ago. he is what he is.
What you fail to mention is that many of Khan's previous opponents were considered "washed up" but went on to have very quality wins after fighting Khan, which would indicate that they WERE NOT washed up: * Malignaggi: won a world championship belt at 147lb and had an extremely competitive fight with Broner (many believed he won) after fighting Khan * Judah: beat Matthysse (it was competitively close) before Khan and gave Danny Garcia a big scare in the later rounds * Maidana: don't even need to mention his recent accolades But has Khan's team done some good match-making over the years? Sure. At the end of the day, they are trying to maximize their profits. It is called prize fighting for a reason. Just like Mayweather likes to take on slower, less slick boxers....I'm sure Khan has a preference for boxers that maybe don't hit as hard. Either way....we should all respect a boxer for having the heart to go in that ring and fight. I mean, Khan has gotten up wanting to fight after being knocked down. The guy's got heart.
Add Malinagi and it is not so bad after all. My defining victory is beating a kid in high school that later turned out to be gay.
People did say that Judah was past his prime vs Khan (which I agree). But it's still a quality win. People need to understand just because a fighter is not in his prime, does not necessarily mean he's not a good fighter still. Judah was hurting Danny Garcia in the late rounds. In my personal opinion, he could've possibly stopped him had it been a 15 round fight.
