    Finally.

Let's be honest the moment Garcia lost to Thurman there was no way he was going to enforce his mandatory position.

Who will Khan's next opponent even be?

I think Sam Eggington would be a great fight, but I'm not sure Khan would want to give a young hungry lion a chance.

    thoughts?

Eggington is no world beater but would probably catch him at some point

Should have been removed as soon as he signed to fight Alvarez in a different division. It's about time.

I would favour Sam as well, I think he would walk through Khan.

4 reasons why Khan will not fight Eggington:
    1. It won't be a global mega PPV
    2. Khan can't con enough money out of the promoters and public for Eggington, i.e., an acceptable seven figure amount
    3. Khan thinks that there are only a few so-called "global elite" fighters that are worth his time (as he considers himself also to be), such as Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto, Canelo. To Khan, Eggington is domestic-level and a rubbish-level fighter
    4. The fight wouldn't be in Dubai, Las Vegas or some other exotic location that befits Khan's "stardom"

Khan is self-deluded, but this is how he thinks.

Khan would beat Eggington in my opinion.

Having said that, especially with Khan, you never know.

Hard to see where Khan goes. Should have taken the Brook fight.

Khan is only interested in fighting once a year for a good wedge, and its purely about the CASH now.

He has fought only once a year in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

He doesnt have long left, because that chin will be unravelling even further at aged 31

there is a reason Khan has now said he will fight Brook. He has no options

Fair that he has lost the ranking.

Would love to see the Khan Garcia rematch! Great fight with two fighters coming off losses.

In terms of Khan v Eggington, I don't think it would happen but if it does Khan outclasses him to UD possibly late stoppage.

Khan v Peterson rematch or v Matthysse comeback would be interesting...reminds me of his fight at 140 against Maidana in 2010.

LOL couldn't of happened to a nicer guy.

He had no buisness being mandatory in any rankings.

I think they removed him due to inactivity, not because he shouldn't have been the mandatory in the first place.
His last fight/ko loss was over a year ago, and his last fight/win in the division dates back 2 years.

Correct but its just deserves for a fighter who doesn't fight. His trying to cherrypick his way to another world title or huge fight without putting there work in.

No doubt he will say he wants the winner from Brook v Spence when his done nothing to show he deserves a shot at the winner.
