Agreed. This thread is a joke. I don't like Floyd at all, but a guy like Khan is never out-boxing Floyd, what a joke. Floyd would have Khan figured out inside 2 rounds and then knock him out inside 6. The first lead left or counter right that lands of Khan would have him tasting canvas. He has no chin whatsoever, none.

 

Khan is undoubtedly talented and his speed and mobility combined with his height would give any boxer problems but he is not ready to face a fighter of Mayweather's ability.

I have always thought Khan is at his most effective when boxing and moving on the back foot. Even when he fought Kindelan in the olympics he was more successful when boxing and countering, as soon as he tried to be aggressive with Kindelan he allowed him to take control. Khan under Roach as learnt to become more boxer than puncher and I think his current style of boxing could give Mayweather a few problems.

But I simply don't think he has the focus and patience to keep to a strategy to outbox Mayweather. And he lacks the simple ring intelligence should he even be able to be competitive and force Mayweather to adapt.

 

I dont see it personally the only thing Khan has on PBF is youth! Khan doesnt even have half the ring IQ that Floyd has.

The thing most people take for granted is PBF is a student of boxing he really understands boxing well and knows everything about it, he will take away Khans jab and what we have seen of Khan is he has virtually no defense and a suspect chin.

I think Khan puts up a good fight for the first two rounds and then gets beaten silly before being K.O'd brutally!

 

I wonder why he doesn't want to become a slick boxer.

 

Khan wants to be a slugger, but he can't, because he has no chin.

So he's going to have to fight sensibly behind a jab and pick the right moments to attack.

Even if he had a chin, I'd say what he has become will be better than what he wanted to be.

 

Young Mayweather wanted to be an exciting knockout artist back in his 130 days, but we all saw what happened there. He went on to master the slick Black American style.

 

Khan doesn't bring his hands back fast enough not to get countered.

Khan still makes too many mistakes. He's fast. Dont know if he's faster then Floyd. Frankly its a wash with Floyd having far better timing and defense. But he leaves his punches out too long, and his head movement leaves alot to be desired.

If Paulie Malignaggi can mark him up with just a jab then Floyd would punish him before stopping him around round 7


And please, if you think Floyd is just going to suddenly become shot when he has taken no punishment in his career and his style is all technique and intelligence and little athleticism, then you are a moron.

Seriously, Khan's China made and easy-to-hit jaw will be his biggest liability on this fight.

 

Come on, Floyd is far too experienced for Khan. About 10 years and 4 weight classes wiser, Plus the level of competition he has faced cant be compared to anyone else, Not only that Floyd comes from a family of boxers and its in the family blood.

Khan like another British fighter called Hatton will have his career destroyed by Mayweather.

 

The only reason why Khan is even a thought to Mayweather is because he's in roach camp and spars with Pac.
