I mean, I can see why people are fed up with Floyd possibly going for a Khan clash. Maidana's got more buzz around him at the moment, Bradley is better, Pacquiao will always be the fight everybody wants to see, Garca has proven his quality time and time again and so forth. Yes, right now there are probably more deserving opponents out there but let's not completely discredit Khan's achievements.

Firstly, he is fast and he is a good boxer. Secondly, he beat Maidana whose hype went through the roof after deafting Broner with Garcia in his corner. Thirdly and most importantly, Khan is entertaining as shit. I don't recall him being in a boring fight ever since he stepped his opposition up to world class. He's a pretty well skilled, super fast glass cannon who can't help himself but make fights a joy to watch. Khan will make sure you are on the edge of the seat for the entire length of the fight (which in his case turns out pretty short occasionally).

Don't get me wrong, I give him virtually no chance against Floyd but let's not kid ourselves - none of the aforementioned would stand a reasonable chance other than Pac and that is the most unlikely fight to take place.

Guys, Floyd might actually be eyeing a crowd pleasing fight for once with an opponent who cannot participate in boring fights to save his life.

I for one wouldn't be too mad if this fight actually materialized.

Khan isn't an elite fighter. The fans want to see the best fight the best. China chin will get check hooked on the way in and do the stanky leg.

Khan looked like Dog **** in his last 2 fights without Roach and Ariza and looked like **** without Ariza vs Garcia as well. No fights at 147. He shouldn't even be mentioned for a Floyd fight.

I agree this would be an entertaining fight. I care more about entertainment than people 'earning' the right etc. I personally don't think Khan looked that bad in his last fight and I don't think Maidana or Pacquiao have really earned it much more anyway.

It's not the greatest of fights but I like this better than Maidana fight, Maidana would simply be completely dominated against Floyd for all 12 rounds.

Khan on the other hand while too will lose of course, I think may potentially cause some problems early in the fight.

Well, I suppose this is the official list of opponents the boxing community wants to see:

    1. Pac
    2. Garcia
    3. Bradley
    4. Maidana
    5. Lara
    6. Khan

Pac fight won't happen. Garcia fight will happen eventually and Garcia has deserved it big time but he doesn't match up too well stylewise. Bradley is good but nobody is outboxing Floyd at WW. Maidana would lose 12 rounds straight. Lara at 154 would be a pretty sick match up but let's not fool ourselves - high risk low reward fight is not gonna happen. Lara is crazy skilled and might well pose the biggest threat of these 5 but he offers nothing but a small fan base.

Strange post, Diaz beat Khan up at catch weight (no fights at 147, no great wins since 2010/11) and almost won and Maidana has just beat an undefeated 147 titlist.

Broner is a good win but c'mon, he probably just wasn't all that.

Broner, Karras and Lopez are better wins than LWW Molina (who you ask, i have no idea either) and getting battered by Diaz at catch weight and barely wining a decision.

Khan has no wins at WW, and has looked terrible in his last 4 fights.

I don't think Khan looked great in his last fight but I don't think he looked that bad either. Beating Broner isn't impressive to me. The guy took a big weight class jump and was only a titlist because he got a decision (which some thought he didn't deserve) against a guy Khan beat more impressively. And Khan still beat Maidana.

Yes it could and most likely would be an exciting match but still Khan doesn't deserve this payday. He hasn't done anything lately to deserve a fight like this. I'd rather see Mayweather vs Maidana.

So beating Broner wasn't impressive and Khan didn't look that bad against someone he asked to move down in weight?, alright.

The reason he hasn't been in boring fights is because he is an exciting fighter with glaring weaknesses.

The problem is that he never even faced a welter before, almost got stopped (again) in his last fight and now goes up against the #1 P4P, #1 WW and #1 LMW. So stepup in weightclass, big step in level while he merely survived a couple of his wins.

Khan was a Roach and Ariza man then in his prime while Maidana was Garcia and Ariza less and only thew single shots without the jab. lets see what would happen now at 147. I would love to see Maidana vs Khan 2 at 147.

That's right Broner was above his weight division and arguably lost to a guy who Khan destroyed
