Broner moved up two weight divisions to fight Malignaggi, and this "Khan destroyed Malignaggi" bullcrap only comes from newbies following the sport. Styles make fights and Khan always looked great and comfortable against guys that can't punch hard enough to trouble him. Remember how Ali looked against Frazier and Norton compared to Foreman?

Maidana has earned his spot and it would be good to see him get his chance and a big payday, he always brings it.
Thing is i think floyd would shut him out in a boring UD.
I dont really mind if the khan fight happens, he brings it too, plus he has the speed but no IQ. The first few rounds could be fun to watch, but it would be good to see khan get retired.
Then maidana sept and hopefully pac and garcia to round off his retirement.

Yeah that's what I said. That was my point.

Compared to what Broner did, Khan destroyed him.

    You mean like Mayweather?

Gatti wasn't in a boring fight EVER, doesn't mean I'd be be happy to watch him get destroyed by someone he doesn't have a hope in hell of beating.

Say what you want about Khan, but his fights certainly are not boring.

He shows flashes of brilliance or gets knocked out pretty much lol

True but nobody really has much hope of beating Floyd and those that do, Floyd wouldn't fight them anyway.

This is obviously accurate but c'mon, Floyd will not face Lara or Pac (the only threats at 147 and 154) and the others stand no chance. Might as well fight the dude who'll guarantee entertainment.

Although the OP has some decent points I still think it is a weak fight...but it is light years better than Maidana. He couldn't even land punches on Devon for christs sake... no way he is touching Mayweather. Devon is athletic and fast like Floyd but has about 5% of his skill and IQ.

Khan gets a hard time on here but he's equally as worthy of a fight with Floyd as Ortiz and Guerrero were.

He's got some solid wins on his resume.

He won and looked pretty good against Kotelnik, Salita, Malignaggi, Maidana, McCloskey, Judah - that's a very decent run.

Then he had the Peterson debacle - a fight he won IMO. Then obviously a bad loss to Garcia and a couple of average wins.

It's only the Garcia fight I'd hold against him.

Throw in the fact that he is an exciting fighter and at least offers something stylistically different to anyone Floyd has fought recently and it's hardly the worst fight in the world. It's definitely a better match up than Floyd / Maidana which has got boring one sided shut out written all over it.

Oh I assure you, Mayweather will hurt him and trouble him. You can't really compare Mayweather's power to Malignaggi and Kotelnik. Mayweather had Alvarez backing off at Light Middleweight and almost dropped Cotto with a single punch in the final round. Mayweather doesn't always commit to his punches but when he needs to he can and will.

Khan "destroyed" Maidana?, sure he was winning most of the rounds but he nearly got knocked out late in the fight. That's hardly "destruction" unless you're being foolish.

I'd also like to see Mayweather vs Khan. Why? Because the last Mayweather fights were rather boring. Khan is an emotional fighter who gives it all in a fight. There's always action in his fights. It's a knock-out or being knocked out. I like Khan as a fighter because of this.

Maybe a knock-out would do Mayweather some good, because I'm afraid Khan won't stand a chance.

I think if anyone has a chance at an upset, it is Khan.
When he fights well, he is very good. It will be fun watching him hit Mayweather if nothing else and hit him he will. I guarantee mayweather is not going to like that at all. He will be eating shots as a result of Khans ridiculous hand speed. This may not allow floyd the peace of mind to make an adjustment beyond forcing him to be a lot more aggressive and turning it into a brawl and then K just has to be the smarter more patient fighter. It's great that floyd is thinking about fighting khan. It seems a lot of fans give him no chance. I think everyone is underestimating him. I don't really like Khan but I hope they fight and I hope he beats the crap out of floyd.

What fight you are thinking about?i see mayweather name inserted there but no way you could mean mayweather.

Khan has very good handspeed, but handspeed don't mean much if you don't have the skills :deal

And should we go back to diaz fight?how could diaz almost K.O and win on points against this lighting quick khan?

Floyd will adjust in 3-5 round's to khan speed and outbox khan easily.i could see khan taking 3-4 round max.but against floyd that is probably great result.

Only think khan offers is speed.you need lot more than that to beat floyd.
