Khan Hate

I'm with ya on that one, miketysonko.

 

I dont hate Khan but hes nothing special..hes a good, fast, young fighter...nothing more..he may win a belt 1 day but he isn't the next face of boxing or ne thing like that!

 

This thread is not restricted to discussing whether khan is 'hated' by ESB posters but in general. Thats why i brought it up. I think part of the problem is that people use the word 'hate' far too often. Besides i only point out race as a factor when someone blatantly uses it in their argument. Khan may be deficient as a fighter but i dont 'hate' him for that. But is suppose things like 'i would have koed barerra in the next few rounds' doesnt exactly earn him fans amongst the boxing community.

Muslims are the most hated people in the U.K.

The Pakistani origin Muslims make up nearly 50% of the Muslims in the U.K around 1 million. Most of the Pakistani youngsters are involed in selling hard drugs, gang wars, and street thugery and are disliked in northen England.

Khan is one of them.

Most ESB posters hate Khan for boxing reasons, but outside alot of people dislike him because he is a PAKI.

Its a Shame Khan tries hard to become a better boxer, but he will always be hated by some no matter what he does.

 

He could fight another semi-decent prime natural Lightweight...........but we all know what happened the last time he did that.:!:

 

The hard cold truth. There are to many BNP guys on ESB for my liking and some of the racist hate I have seen against Khan on here has been terrible.

 

Can someone break it down and give me good strong boxing reasons to hate Khan. I am disappointed that he has not tried to face all of his domestic rivals that are/were rated higher than him before talking about world titles. Apart from that I think he is a big talent that should continue to face dangerous opponents and not try to con us with medicore opposition.

 

Even if someone hates Khan for non boxing reasons it doesn't mean that it must be racial motives that cause the hate. A lot of people in the UK hate the whole marketable, media freindly image of Khan and have had the same hate for other sportsmen with the same image - David Beckham or Will Carling for example.

There are are also things in Khans personality that put people off him, like that he rarely seems to say anything good about his opponents.

Overall he comes accross quite arrogant and seems to enjoy his celebrity status and a lot of people dislike him because of that. It's not a boxing reason but it's nothing to do with racism either.

 

Obviously not the worst

Some journeyman with like 50 losses probably has the worst jaw in the sport, Khans chin isnt good, but to call it the worst in the sport is just plain stupid

 

I completely agree that Khan can be very arrogant sometimes especially before he got KTFO and I accept that is a common reason for people not warming to him. As for his media image he should just be him self and if he really is whiter than white then that is what he should project.

 

Not all ofcourse, but mostly young Muslims in northen England are upto no good ****. I am from Pakistani background myslef and have family in Leeds. Its a ****ed up place thats all i am going to say.

 

Once he beats a champ, he's in.

 

I like Khan ive met him twice, he was very friendly. Ive also met David Haye - was an arrogant piece of **** and Eubank was very weird!
