So nobdoy in these threads thinks being arrogant is funny sometimes, do you want boxing to be pure respect before and after the match all the time. Its a little bit of fun and excitement.
I think it is partly to do with him being pakistani, but I think its mainly his arrogance, and the fact he's been stuffed down everyone's throats a bit. I think he is a good boxer, and will be a world champ, but the way he's gotten there has probably pissed a lot of people off as well. He should have fought Murray or Thaxton instead of leapfrogging the best domestic talent.
Before the fights, yes but after the fights it usualy makes the winner look a bit of a ****. I think only certain fighters can pull it off as well and it has to be done in a certain way. It's often funny to see the fighters trading insults and arguing in the pre-fight press conferences and Haye is pretty good at that. I'm surprised that someone said he's arrogant in real life because he doesn't really come accross that way. Khan comes accross as a different kind of arrogant that isn't as funny, it sometimes sounds like he beleives his own publicity. I've never met him in real life though so maybe I am being a bit harsh on him.
Aye am sure hes a nice lad, but he does seem to beleive his own hype, as opposed to hyping himself up if you know what I mean.
I would like to see someone like Prince Naseem Hamed come along, and lose embarassingly after long talk and entrances.
