The haters wont STFU until his chin is tested against somebody with actual power. I'm not saying I wasn't impressed tonight, because I was, but his chin is still suspect.

your probably right khan boxed well and did what was needed. but malignaggi was not aggresive enough at all. so still no real test for khan

I think people are overboard on that too. Certain shots in boxing would put any man on Earth to sleep. Some of the hardest shots one will ever witness are still shots that LOOK harmless from a bystander's point of view. One split second lapse can change a boxing career. He could very well prove to have a great chin when it's all said and done. Maybe it is more appropriate to say that his defense, or focus is suspect. Regardless, if defense and focus were subject before, they certainly shouldn't be after last night.

To contradict myself, I guess the question of his chin still remains, because nobody will consider a fight against Malignaggi as a convincing argument to having a good chin. Still, Malignaggi's best shot would knock any man out if the particular individual didn't see it coming whatsoever.

Khan neutralized and confused him, and made him pay when he came in, hence halting any aggression. It would have been very uneffective aggression had Malignaggi pressed forward without figuring out the puzzle first. I think it was a worthy test of skill, talent, determination, and whatever else you want to throw in there, with the exception of his chin.

Whoever it may be, they will not be able to hurt what they can't hit, so they better have a nice array of skills to go along with that power, or it will only be obsolete.

I wasnt impressed. Malignaggi is the biggest clown in this sport. Khan fought him because he cudnt punch for ****. Malignaggi has never impressed me, he is just jab, jab, then try the counter left hook and he pulls his head back wen he does. He threw about 3 right hands as always and cudnt even slip khans jab, so much for bein slick. He is so easy 2 hit cos all he does is pull his head back and try to act slick wen really he aint. He made his name off a loss to cotto and thats it.

if you watch his earlier fights compared to this fight, you'll see his defence is a whole load better than it was. He'll always have that question mark hovering over him, but then so did Hearns. (not saying Khan is as good of course).

My reservation is not so much with this chin, but his power. I'm not sure he has enough of it to take on the elite.

Paulie was tailor-made for Khan and that was reflected in the pre-fight odds. Khan ended up doing quite a good job in the fight itself, as expected, although the stoppage was a bit premature.

The fact still remains that the only puncher who Khan has faced, and who wasn't a blown-up SFW, is Prescott, and he was blown out in a round. TBF Khan seems to have improved a lot under Roach, but we still need to see him in with natural LWW, with more than a 50% KO ratio, in order to see what he is really made of.

Make the fight with Maidana. Khan should be able to outbox Marcos if he sticks to a good gameplan, but let us see if he can stick to that gameplan with a powerful hitter who will be after him from the first bell.
