The Guy gets a lot of hype, probably gets too much hype and has become overrated by many of his supporters... so I can see why people wouldn't like that.. But the guy is ****ing 24, bouncing back from a terrible loss a few years back... He has been rated pretty high lately ... people were hating on him for not fighting any punchers and that he was protected , blah blah... He fights the biggest puncher in the division probably, puts the guy down in the first.. then puts on a boxing clinic for the better part of the fight... he landed more, landed at a higher percentage and never was knocked down. Khan's chin maybe is a bit shaky , but it held up... it held up and I even gave Khan the 11th round... or at least it was close. the guy is 24 years old, and has shown great improvement, great heart and seems like a pretty good guy. All you haters are ****ing hypocrites... Khan will never get credit from some of you blind fools.
I think Khan KO's him in a rematch, but he disappointed me tonight. His chin has improved though so I can't hate, but some people are making it seem more than what it is
Indeed, a lot of fighters don't get back to the top after a devastating KO loss, I honestly think it takes a lot of heart and will to comeback from a loss like that in the remarkable manner that Khan has. He'll always be troubled by that shaky chin of his, but if anything, this fight he showed he had the heart to overcome it. And besides, because of his chin, I think all his fights will are incredibly exciting, because you never know when he'll get KTFO It must be nerve-wracking for the die hard Khan fans...
he did well. got hit by a massive shot and stayed on his feet for 2 minutes in that round. apart from that it was a clinic.
You either have a great chin or you don't. It's not something fighters can choose to have. What's remarkable in Khan's case is what he's been able to do so far despite his shaky chin. I don't see what's not to admire in a fighter who's able to use all the other tools at his disposal just to overcome the huge disadvantage of having a weak chin. At the very least it shows a lot of heart, and that's definitely one thing you need if you want to be considered as great.
Agree with everything accept the "seems like a pretty good guy" part. After his comments of the last year or two he's still a ****.
Hardly. Khan was on his bike for much of the fight after round 7 - so much so that I went from admiring Khan's skill to willing Maidana to win. Also, judging by each man's appearance after the fight it would appear that Khan's punching, whilst full of snap and speed, lacks actual power - more so given the amount of times Maidana was hit cleanly, you just wouldn't know it. Khan may have won a fight which he barely made it out of but Maidana won the event.
