why is khan hated he good fighter may have lost a few but he never ducks and would fight anyone unlike some boxers these days he was stopped once in his car a kid says would you see my nan she ill and would cheer her up to meet you so he goes round has tea with her for av while everytime i see him he makes the most time for his fans then most he put nearly 3 mil of his money in to his comunity i know hes rich but he dont have to these are just a few things i think if you met him people would change there view you dont have to like anyone but peoples reasons for hating him are poor ???
Trolololol Or you just have bad writing. This thread is pointless...nobody is a Khan 'hater' on ESB. :thumbsup
I do think khan is maturing but FFS can we have some punctuation and grammer in that post to make us understands it? Thanks
Khan is hated due to his mouth and the stupid stuff he says and the way he acts. Rather than getting in the ring and fighting he makes repeated bad decision. Funny to think that had Khan fought Alexander as planned he'd be in a great position but instead he dropped out and now Brook holds the title that he really should have had.
Khan talks a lot of stupid ****. He deserves the hate he gets in many regards because of all that. That is why many other fighters are hated, so it is only logical. He also has a glass jaw. He is in good fights usually even if one sided, though (Maidana, Garcia, Judah, Diaz, Prescott). He can be in some horrible-to-watch kind as well (McCloskey, Collazo, C. Molina).
I'm not a big fan of Khan but if you look at the comments on stuff like this website and youtube it's mostly down to racism, so often find myself defending him. I think too, he has a bad chin (but it's not the worse in boxing either, Broner, Kirkland and Dawson have worse ones) but basically people write him off stating that's the only deciding factor for the fight, so basically he gets underrated too.
Dawson? Really now? With the exception of Maidana, Dawson's opposition cracks harder than Khan's opposition in addition to Dawson's resume being wayyyyyy better. I could list you several occasions that Khan has been badly hurt and dropped. Could you do the same for Dawson?
What has Dawson's resume got to do with how bad his chin is at the moment? I'm not saying he's always had a terrible chin, like Jones Jr probably hasn't had such an awful chin since he started boxing, but his punch resistance is currently none exsitant. After all, not many fighters get dropped 3 times and stopped by Ward. Plus Khan's fighting style allows him to gets hit a hell of a lot more on his chin so it's tested more often.
I don't like how he always talks about future fights instead of focusing on his current opponent. Khan thought he would coast through Peterson, Prescott, and Garcia, but he lost all three.
OK, at least you can say he hasn't always had a (edit!) bad chin. Resume does matter when discussing chins. A lot. If you fought Matthysse and got dropped by a chin check that would mean quite a bit less in terms of your chin then if you got dropped by Cuenca with a chin check. So, you are pointing to Dawson vs. P4P #2 Andre Ward and citing the 3 KD's... Well, two can play that game: -Not many fighters get dropped hard by Julio Diaz either. -Prescott didn't exactly drop and wildly hurt a whole lot of the contenders/fringe contenders that he fought after he beat Khan either. -Some people insist Danny Garcia doesn't have much power yet he was able to drop Khan 3 times and stop him in the first third of their fight.
-I think if you go back at watch the Diaz fight, when Khan was actually dropped it wasn't particularly hard, Khan wasn't particularly hurt and even the commentators pointed out it was more of an off balance style knock down than Khan fell to the floor because his legs have gone. - Which people exactly insist Garcia doesn't have power? Bare in mind in his next fight he savagely KO'd Morales, dropped Matthysee and Judah, and knocked a guy out in such brutal fashion last week people where fearing for his life...those straws, keep clutching at them. Maybe when Khan says he's been cutting a lot of weight to get to 140 that has weakened him it's actually true. He has said for a while he had to cut upto 17 pounds the day before a weigh in....hey maybe that's what hurt Dawson for his fight with Ward (who maybe p4p number 2 but certainly doesn't have the p4p power of Garcia) and made his chin so vulnerable to Ward's pillow fists. After all, Khan's chin looked fine for his first few fights at 140, and looked fine in his first fight at 147. And let's be honest, anyone else stayed on their feet under that onslought of hard punches by Maidana (say for example, similarly, Dawson took it for three rounds against Stevenson) would've been given more credit by you if you didn't hate Khan so much.
Ive never understood the hate. Hes a top levekl fighter, who puts on good fights. People say hes "arrogant" because he says terrible things like he think he can beat x.y and z. Boxers are SUPPOSED to be confident. Froch says things 10x more arrogant yet no one ever gives Froch the same hate.
Khan is definitely an exciting fighter and his fights are almost impossible to turn down regardless of opponent. Only thing I hate about him is his baseless trash talking and twitter call-outs of fighters he knows he will never face.
