Khan has been making statements like this for a long time...its why many people dislike him. Its nothing to do with race, its just an arrogant man.

Calzaghe never felt the need to shout about his p4p no2 (in the world, not UK) status and superiority over other british fighters. Why didnt he? Because he isnt a ****.

i really don't understand the Khan hate. So a world champion boxer thinks he's hot stuff. And? Any fighter with Freddie Roach behind them has got to have something special going for them.

The idea that this attitude will harm him is nonsense. Did it harm Mayweather?

I for one will be watching the fight and hoping he wins.

"I've proved I've probably got one of the best chins in the boxing business" khan

He does bring it on himself sometimes. I like Khan and support him but he makes some hilarious quotes that are just tailor made for the haters.

    Wrong.

Calzaghe for a long time, back in the day, would moan about being in Naseem's shadow and not being recognized by the public. He would also say Ricky Hatton is an overhyped fighter. And not to mention, he passionately disputed the general consensus of Lennox being the greatest British fighter of all time. By being undefeated, he felt he was superior and failed to understand why people wouldn't realize this.

But it's ok. You go ahead and ignore this arrogance, and focuse on Khan's instead.

Ok, now that, surely must have been a slip of the tongue. He probably meant UK, not world.

Edit: Sorry. I thought Khan said that. My bad. Ignore.

He was also not wrong. Calzaghe was better than both Naz and Hatton.

Id also have a hard time arguing with Khan here. Best Boxer maybe, but Froch is by far the superior fighter and p4p would beat him.

Yes, he probably was better than them.

But you said Calzaghe never use to shout out and brag about himself. When actually, he did. He bragged about being better than all of his fellow British fighters, including Lennox. That's just absurd. More absurd than anything Khan has ever said.

Calzaghe was a champion for a long time when he understandably got frustrated with the big fights eluding him..namely Ottke, Hopkins and Jones in the early to mid 2000s.

Khan has been blowing his own trumpet since he turned pro.

Show me the quotes or gtfo.

Seems to me that As soon as Khan speaks people mainly british boxers and British boxing fans look to have a dig at him. Hes speaking his mind he thinks he is the best British fighter. Thats his opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Its between him and Froch i would say. But for him to say it, shows he has confidence about him, and he will want to work hard and prove to people. Nothing wrong with being ambitious. Why all the stick???

    Here you go:

    http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/article-5499540-i-am-the-best-says-honest-joe.do

Sounds remarkably similar to what Khan's just said, doesn't it?

And while we're at it, I may as well highlight the following quote about Jones too:

By the way, this isn't the only quote on him thinking he's superior to Lennox. There's a more recent one. I think it was when he got caught doing coke. I'll keep looking :good
