Khan: I can beat Maidana, outbox Malignaggi, and KO Campbell, but I won't be ready...

I'm more impartial to the Middleweight Championship series format than the Super Six for this weight class, lop off the group 2 and have a four man tournament. this keeps the bottom half open to new challenges and keeps the division alive outside of the tournament.

 

He would out box the one handed feater fisted malignaggi, but he would get KO'd by maidana. Khan can fight all the weak punching boxers at 140
and look like a million bucks, but once he fights a pressure guy who can bang, he'll be prescotted again. KO'ing campbell i'm not so sure of. Nate is very experienced and tough, and would make khan fight. No doubt he'd win on points, but he needs to keep campbell's name out of his mouth or he'll HAVE to back it up.

 

Khan also said he's ready to fight Mayweather in a 4 rounder successfully after his 2nd pro fight.

 

I'm a fan of Khan too but be realistic please. He DID say that and said a lot more, he was calling out Hatton after his 5th professional fight for God's sake. Did you exist back then?

 

They asked Khan what would be his dream fight he said Floyd in a years time. If he can clean up the 140 division this year then why not?, he also said in the interview he looks up to fighters like Floyd and Manny.

i'd personally like to see him fight mayweather in 1 1/2 years time, i mean, only if he cleans out his division & does a good job over bradley, then that would be one of the fights i would love to see

and to be honest, if he beats bradley, do u think mayrunner would want anything to do with him ?

 

Great interview. Shows his true self. Khan will be a great champion one day. I don't want to say too watch, but he will be one of the greats of boxing when his career ends. He will take boxing to the next level.

 

Khan wants to one day be the best, in order to become that he has to beat the best. If Khan beats the top fighters at 140 (Bradley and others) by the end of this year and with Khan improving fast under Roach he has a chance.

Floyd would be hitting 33 and with Khan's speed and reach I dont think myself that Floyd would want anything to do with a young up and coming champion like Khan in the near future.

 

Nice to see Khan getting the respect he deserves in this thread.

Maidana is a very dangerous fight for Khan.

 

i think Amir Khan's chin would improve now that he had moved up in weight and is no longer draining himself to make 135.
