"Maidana has a huge record of knocking his opponents out. Especially in the first couple of rounds. But we have to deal with this guy. There will be times in this fight when I get hit, times in this fight when I'm under pressure - and we know exactly how to deal with that. I've had a ten week training camp. It's a big fight for me and I'm not going to make any mistakes. People can say what they want. When I beat this guy I'm going to shut a lot of critics up."

I hope when he gets hurt he goes down and stay down for a bit and to recover and try not to use his heart to rush into getting up and getting KTFO again esp. when his body/legs aren't complying.

Khan is starting to sound like Charlie Zelenoff with these "Ill shut the critics up" statements.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying Khan has a big set of balls and a lot of heart.

The most critical thing about Khan is the lack of punching power in his opponants since the Prescott loss and seeing as most the guys at the top of any division carry good to great punching power Khan had proved nothing until he started facing it.

Well now he is about to. Ive always thought Khan and Roach have been honest when sat postfight ringside and name drop Maidana, Bradley and Alexander but i think once sat down Roach and the promoters would rather bide their time knowing hes still learning and another Prescott type defeat would be a massive backwards step in their attempt to win over American boxing fans.

So his 2nd point to prove is whether or not he can actually live with these powerful boxers. Hes probably got the ability and speed to outscore anybody at 140 and maybe 147 other than a couple of special boxers but no matter how good or fast or clever or defencive you wana be you WILL get hit. Khan has to make sure he doesnt get hit flush, not once.

And to be honest i dont like the way he stands still and upright with his gloves tight to his face when under any sustained attack when he should be stepping out of it or clinching. Hes always done it and its dangerous.
