    I think struggling against Willie limond and Michael Gomez, stumbling around the ring then going on to beat maidana and kotelnik is quiet an improvement.

    I agree but the Khan story is a sad one. He is fighting for the fans... he said on his blog that they pay hard earned money to watch him fight etc. He stupid. No need to trade...

    Why? Kotelnik was a weak champ, Maidana is nothing special either but still beat the **** out of Khan, a different ref may have even stopped that fight.

    Also, Maidana and Kotelnik along with most of Khan's other opponents were carefully picked because they were made for Khan.

    If Khan had improved then surely he wouldn't have made the same stupid mistakes against Garcia that he has been making since his career began.

    but maidana and kotelnik etc are better than limond and gomez are they not?

    my point was he went from getting knocked around the ring by domestic level boxers to mixing it up with BETTER ranked opponents.
