:rastaI respect Khan but to lable him as one of the best when he clearly avoided disaster with Maidana in the fight is way too soon. If he wants to prove himself he should give this man another chance. This was a tough fight for Khan as he was pushed to the limit and out of his zone with the borderline dirty bulldog force of Maidana. Now for Khan to call out Floyd is the biggest laugh I have had all year. Floyd would destroy this man inside six rounds. Bottom line he needs to backup his big mouth with some big actions and in my view a rematch with Maidana could make me change my mind if he oulls out a clear victory :smoke
He proved himself alreadyby beating him, it wasn't a controversial decision, it's all well and good to have a rematch and I would enjoy it, but Khan has earned the right to move up from the division after the Petersen fight.
What has Maidana done since the Khan fight? Scrape past an old Morales and knockout some bum for Khans regular belt? Let Maidana fight Matthysse / Bradley / Alexander before he gets another shot at Khan. he had his chance to knock him out the first time and failed
Why should he rematch Maidana? He proved in that fight he's a level above him. Got caught once or twice by Maidana's best shots and still didn't go down. Moving on to bigger and better things.
this be a rematch I'd be interested in seeing Amir is supposed to be a fighter who's still growing. if it's true, he should beat Rene more convincingly this time
He was beating him one-sided, what more could you ask for?. All Maidana did was land one power punch and couldn't follow up. So what is it?, landing one good punch or losing almost every single round?
Matthysse and Maidanna already fought in the Am's with Maidanna getting a decision win . . . . GRUDGE MATCH! :fire
Hey I'm not a Khan fan by any stretch but that guy has proved himself and proved himself again. Nothing but respect for the dude, Maidana needs to go and earn another shot because since Khan he has done nothing of note.
