Clearly Amir Khan is being set up as a Mayweather opponent - disgusting corruption between the WBC, GBP and showtime - Mayweather not only cherrypicking but is now changing the reality of what a fighter has achieved so he can justify fighting them...

Khan hasn't even fought at 147 and his career is at all time low...*****s of course will somehow defend this :patsch

    Khan a WW?

Also, I doubt Floyd personally had anything to do with it, like you are suggesting. WBC will be thinking about some potential $$

  3. WHEN oh WHEN will people get this thru their heads: The rankings are designed with ECONOMICS in mind. They are made from a business point of view. That way they justify making certain fights that will bring money to the table.

Khan got money and is backed up by Golden Boy/Showtime and English network Sky Sports, that's what put his ranking in the WBC welterweight ranks.....can't knock the hustle,it is what it is.

Boxing is not a regulated sport. People who live in industrialized countries have no concept what regulation or in this case- a lack of it means.

Dad grew up in both Afghanistna and ****stan electricity water, utlities are all run by political or land mafias. Boxing isn't too different. Net profit is all they care about.

You can't really blame Mayweather for this. WBC made a stupid shitty decision though.

Listen, we all know that, but here's the deal - how can you install someone at #2 who has never even fought at the weight?

There;s doing something for economics and then there is just a blatant insult to fans...it's ridiculous and you can bet Al Haymon/Mayweather was involved - Sulaiman is such a Mayweather yes man because of the $$$, they'll do as they're told so Mayweather cna justify another lame match-up and his fans will eat it up

    Not really.

Obviously the WBC are setting him up for a fight against Mayweather, they are trying to put him in the position to be the mandatory. But that could mean in two years time. And by that time Amir would have been forced to fight good competition at that weight anyway.

To be honest, I actually wouldn't mind a Khan-Floyd fight, I think Floyd would win but Khan's hand speed and high volume early on should make for some interesting moments in the fight.
