Khan is doing great... but Floyd will use him (to duck Pac) and abuse him in 2012

Khan is on a good run, improving all the time, and has put together a good resume now. It's fair to have him as a top 10 p4p fighter now I think (not saying I'd have him in there myself, but he's legitimate now IMO).

Unfortunately for him, he is the next guy that Mayweather will use to duck Pacquiao, following Marquez, Mosley and Ortiz.

And Mayweather will completely dominate and destroy Amir as I see it.

Khan just doesn't have the experience, the fortitude or the skills to mix it with a technician like Floyd. He relies too heavily on athleticism to beat Mayweather, who will nullify him, disillusion him, pick him apart, and beat him up.

That's what will happen in 2012, as it will be the 4th year in a row that Floyd has been running for cover from this man...

Floyd will be back to his usual routine of fighting once a year against an handpicked opponent and its obvious that next year that handpicked opponent will be Khan.

You don't handpick a guy like khan.

khan is a GBP fighter. he would be the 7th straight GBP in-house fight for floyd next year.

I think if Mayweather slows down as he has done he will find Khan a very difficult fighter . Remember next year Floyd will be 35.

The likelyhood is that Floyd will fights a mike Jones type who will be a belt holder at that point.

Floyd will have no interest what so ever in fighting Mike Jones, more than likely Pac would fight Jones before floyd ever does.

Floyd will fight Khan next year right after khan beats Morales.

why not fight the best champ instead and not settle for GBP in-house fights? belts are devalued nowadays. didn't floyd refused to fight for mosley's belt?

yep then he recently came out and said he still hopes to win more big fights and win more belts. So take it as you will.

I think if Shane held the WBC belt he would have paid the sanctioning fee. Isn't the belt on the line versus Ortiz?

Also as it stands the best champ had already made his move and agreed to fight marquez even before he fought mosley. Floyd fought the 2nd best WW who was also a champ to. Not bad considering.

floyd only fight once a year. he needs to fight pacquiao and not ortiz and not khan. pac's last 3 fights were the product of floyd going on vacation. floyd has not fought non-GBP fighters since 2006.

It's also floyds fault that PAC fought clottey.

stop being over-dramatic. just fight pacquiao next instead of khan is all we are asking now. btw, why do you prefer floyd fighting khan next instead of pacquiao?

Simple really i'm from the UK and it has been suggested that it will be held at wembley stadium in 2012 just before we have the olympics. Would make for a great summer and more importantly a great fight which I would attend.

I've given up on floyd v Pac happening anytime soon, both fighters don't need the fight, people say they do yet the ppv figures they generate fighting lesser opponents suggest otherwise.

Pac V Floyd will only fight when there is no one left credible enough to spin into a ppv event.

Neither pac or floyd are afraid of each other, however both men realise what a loss would do to their career and money making. Can you imagine pac going back to his people having loss to an arrogant african american and can you imagine floyd going back to the american media having loss to a asian midget lol

I was thinking it will go more like this:

Ortiz (hyped as tuneup for Pac)
Guerrero (hyped as final tuneup for Pac)
Khan (when Pac fight isn't made)
Alvarez (2013-2014, depending on how many and length of vacations in between)
