The perception is that he is ducking him, even though it may make sense to look for a better known opponent for more money and maybe less risk. Im sure khan and his team are a little bit cautious of one punch ko power and if maidana had a little less power they would jump on this fight

I'm a fan of Khan but I think you're on to something here. However I'm not willing to claim he is ducking Maidana until he actually drops his title. As of now he has just postponed the fight with Maidana to fight Marquez first, not cancelled it.

People are too quick to jump the gun. Maidana is still the mandatory challenger and Khan still has to fight him eventually to keep his title.
