If it isn't there in his next fight with a reasonable fighter, it might never be. Hopefully some is there though.
khan is a laughing stock - & whats going on with his shorts 1 side british the other side pakistan - sorry khan im no longer a supporter
Steelem sounds like a Calzaghe fan to me, no respect for anything less than a wonderous talent, which we now know Khan is not.
er he has pakistani heritage atsch so dats for one side and hes british thats for the other side atsch
Khan is a very skilful young boxer and I think he is far from finished. The "wonder kid" bubble has burst and my suspicions about his inability to cope with pressure have not gone away. Careful matching while he works on his defence will help but the simple truth is Khan is sparkled too easily and this will in time slow him down. I have now seen him recover well from being sparkled both as an amateur and as a pro. This shows him to have a lot of heart and good survival instincts. However the fact that he has to show these qualities so early in his career will be worrying for his team. Khan’s team, along with the bookies expected this bout to be a whole lot easier than it turned out. To Khan’s credit he weathered the storm and threw everything he had into rounds 7 & 8, I believe burning himself out in the process. On the night it worked, but it could so easily have gone wrong. The problem his team have now is that having taken a risk that came close to backfiring Khan will be seen by rivals as ripe fruit ready for the taking. If He relinquishes the Commonwealth title his image would be further tarnished, but can they risk him in a defence against a mandatory challenger who is a big hitter? What if Alex Arthur moves up to lightweight? I do not see Khan’s team accepting a title challenge from him. I think there will be a touch of the PBF in his future career, where good inside fighters and big hitters will be ducked. p.s.Quite liked the shorts.
Judah got KD'd off balance by Spinks, Khan nearly got taken out, big difference, try again. Also, if you want to compare Spinks, a World Class fighter, to Limond, then go ahead. Spinks has a similiar KO ratio, but I promise you shot for shot and P4P that he's a much harder and sharper puncher.
typical.the trouble is some people who comment know f***all. he might or might not go all the way but a laughing stock? one thing the kid showed last night was that he is a serious pugilist and has real substance about him.he may or may not have a suspect chin but what we do now know is that if the kid fails it will not be for lack of a fighting heart.laughing stock? do me a favour.
...and what about all the other thousands of boxers who have much worse chins than Harrison and Khan. How many fighters get up from Williams over hand right? How many get up from Limonds 5 punches? Loads of fighters would get put out for 30, not just 10.
I am talking of RANKED fighters Achilles. Khan's not compared to the average low level fighter is he? He's compared to being a future World Class fighter for Britains gain, where as his chin is not much better than most of the lower level fighters. Is it really that Khan's chin is so bad, that you have to bring up the majority of low level tomato cans, journeymen and other types in comparison to attempt to lift him up as having a "superior" chin to those types? Wow.
