How does he play the race card? I have to admit though, religion and boxing shouldn't mix. But nationalities can, Marquez is always on about how he is Mexican etc..
In all honesty, somewhere in his head he must feel some kind of negativity towards a Maidana fight - events like that Prescott loss don't go away quickly, and looking at his competition since, I can't imagine he's over it. He goes on the net too so he MUST see all the **** written about him.
one thing that pisses me off badly about this sport is the ****ing annoying 'oh this fight would be huge in a year' opinion. what the **** is wrong with now. none of the fighters are injured so why does the fight have to be made later (i couldn't give less of a **** that it appeals more to the false fans who only know like 2 boxers names). to me it just reeks of another excuse. and for the record fighting a great like marquez when he is pretty old and going up too much in weight does not make you a great fighter amir. so how about you take off that security blanket off and fight a proper lww.
Wasn't it Khan who stated that Kotelnik was the worst world champ in boxing? Not that I agreed with but still.
WTF LOL? Then again I'm not suprised. This guy always hates on Khan Height doesn't decipher your weight catagory, ******. Look at Manny Pacquaio 5'6 - Expected to be a light weight? Goes to Welterweight and possibly Light Middleweight Look at Breidis Prescott 5'11 - So I'm guessing he starves himself to eh? God, seriously quit this forum. Every one of your comments you make are full of bull****.
The Sun will print anything on their website if they think it's news, I've just posted a link from their paper when they've printed an negative article about Khan even though he was still with Warren.
khan is not even ready fighting the likes of bradley, and has been managed totally wrong. he should of never of fought for title against kotelnik because all that's done has put him in the firing line as champion to fight the best, and he'll get whooped at the moment. maybe another year down the line will be a differnt story, but it seems khan was too interested in winning a world title against one of the easiest title holders, and now is paying the price for that. his fault. i think marquez is also a tough fight for amir khan.
The logic of some of the posters on here is really embarrassing. Im surprised you lot even allow yourself to stoop so low in your reasoning. First off Prescott, that guy as weve all come to know now, is a one dimensional bum! Yes, that makes it even more humiliating for Khan seeing as though he was blown away in 54 seconds by him. But let me ask, just what the f*ck has Prescott done since? He fails to finish the fight in his next bout (all be it through no fault of his own), he then looks hopeless in his following outing and loses a clear decision, before finally stepping in with Mitchell, who makes exposes him as the fruitless boxer he is. Khan on the hand, goes on to fight 4 more times (winning all of them). One of them was a Mexican legend who he faired pretty well against (discounting the cut), and the other was a world title holder who beat the guy (Maidana) who you all claim Khan is **** scared of. Not to mention, 99% of the people who criticising Khan now, Im sure are the exact same 99% who said Khan would never come close to winning a World title. So face it, Khan is not obliged to fight Prescott anymore, as a win over him is absolutely worthless! Second, at just 22 years old, many feel he shouldnt even be holding a belt just yet, and that hes still a work in progress. Im inclined to agree with these people, as I still see habits in Khans game which I feel make him vulnerable to elite fighters. Which brings us to Bradley. Gary Shaw is a f*cking moron for accusing Khan of ducking Bradley, as Khan himself has gone on record for giving a perfectly legit reason for not facing him.... I feel Im not ready for Bradley yet.... and theres not a person out there that will disagree with that statement. Just like no one would disagree with his refusal of Arums offer of a fight with Pacquiao. Now does that mean he ducked Pacquiao? Of course ****ing not! Its called pacing yourself! Thirdly and finally, the Maidana and Marquez issue. For those of you arent aware Ill make it clear.... ....Marquez is a far better boxer than Maidana, far more experienced than Maidana, a bigger threat than Maidana, and of course hes a bigger name than Maidana! The Argentinean brings only power to the table, and he is very susceptible to being outboxed (eg Kotelnik). There isnt a complicated game plan in to beating a guy like him. Marquez on the other hand is a superb counterpuncher, has pinpoint accurate combinations, and most importantly, he has the intelligence and skill to tame speed demons (eg Pacquiao). Khans biggest asset is his speed, and you can bet your ass that Marquez will use that trademark ability to neutralize an opponents quickness. So to put it simply, Khan will have more things to think about against Marquez, whereas against Maidana, he just has to box and move. Taking him on in his first US bout (at just 23!), is a brave thing to do.
