The performance was less than stellar. But there's one thing I just don't get. Khan fights a hungry undefeated fighter with an awkward southpaw stance who is ranked 10th overall in the welter division, and wins every round, but is "exposed". Maidana fights an old fighter who looked beatable in his last fight, and on top of that almost lost the fight, but he wasn't "exposed"? Since we're throwing the word around so easily, will Ortiz get "exposed" if Berthoe beats him? Or perhaps Pacquiao will get "exposed" if Mosley lasts 6 rounds with him? atsch
khan only won all the rounds on judges scorecards, but not in reality. he was badly, and I mean badly, outboxed the first two rounds. no way he won, as he was retreating most of the time also
Thank god I didnt pay for the ppv. Was considering at the last minute but once got a good stream thought better and glad i did. Fight was stopped far too early and had to go to the end of the round at least. Couldnt quite see how deep it was from the coverage but it stopped bleeding very fast after the fight. Was far from impressed by khan tonight and by far his worse performance since prescott. He was flicking at far to many shots tonight and far too quick to jump in with both his feet when throwing combinations. Apart from showing a quicker defence than I thought he had mcloskey was poor. He just didnt assert himself and I agreed with the judges. We'll never know what might have happened but Khan was very sloppy in his attack tonight but mclosky showed absolutley nothing in regards to offence. Khan clearly wasnt motivated enough for this fight and it showed. He was blunt in the post fight interview about this also when he said a rematch wouldnt motivte him. I think Khan needs to get his house in order before he signs for his next fight. The guys managment (family basically) have shown clearly in the build up to the fight they are amateurs when it comes to doing business. The whole tv coverage despute ruined the build up to the fight and distracted attention from the actual fight. And on review of the actual event sky were toatally justified dropping it from ppv. Fair play on that front, shows they actually know a good undercard as opposed to khan managment. In my opinion Khan at his best would beat Timothy Bradley within the distance. On tonights show, improvement needed
Seriously, where are all these brand new posters coming from? All of them are spouting the same bull**** too: - Khan was tiring - Khan was exposes (despite easily winning all six rounds) - Doctor saved Khan
No Khan wasn't exposed yet but he will be once he steps in the ring with Tim Bradley. :deal And Northbak, don't talk about streams ever again unless you want to get banned.
:good:good:good Wish more posters on ESB would think with their brains rather than out of their asses.
This is the truth: - Khan was tiring - Khan won all the rounds but not EASILY - We shall never know what would have happened if the fight went on There is nothing in the foregoing that is bull****.
I don't know what people are watching. It was close and competitive 1-5 but Khan was starting to take control in 6 on. He wasn't tired he was warming up.
I watch boxing for many years, and i do genuinely beleive Mcloskey would have stoped Kahn in later rounds. No bise, no hate, only what i saw
