    Judah was actually Matthysse's first big test at the world stage. He was still a lil inexpereince, and was a slow starter. Don't forget, that was almost 3 years ago.

    In the last few fighters, he's starting a lot faster and going after guys as early as the first round.

    Do people realise that some fighters progress and grow as they develop on the world class scene? Especially these guys who come from different countries and whos first exposure to the mainstream audience are often their first taste of world class fighting, in their opponents home town?

    I don't see why this should be such a hard concept to grasp.

    The Judah fight was Matthysse's FIRST ever taste of what the world class stage is like.

    * He had fought past 4 rounds only ONCE in his career at that point, mostly against no hopers.
    * His best opponent to date was a completely, utterly shot Harris, and the opponent directly before Zab was a 20 wins, 15 losses type fighter.


    Is it not a good look that he couldn't stop Zab? Or at least do better then he did.... ya it doesn't look good on his record. But there has to be some sort of context when talking about the losses these guys take when they first step up, and there needs to be some understanding that guys like Lucas will get better once they start adapting to the world class scene.

    People want to talk about 'green' fighters all the time, yet never bat an eyelid at how green Lucas was going into the Judah fight.

    That all being said, it was an awesome awesome win by a resurging Judah, and of course its not a positive thing that even a green Lucas couldn't do better against Judah.

    But I think most boxing minds would pick the current Lucas to destroy Judah, and maybe that's a fight that can be made sometime soon.

    ******ed people still stuck in the past,news flash, matthysse was a spring chicken then and it was in 2010.........If you wanna go there,then why is it that holt destroyed julio diaz in 3 rounds,but khan goes life and death with him? Matthysse is experienced and the face that he's not taking no rounds off to avoid controversial decisions is scary.

    The casuals dont understand that, they dont understand that was Matthysse's first big step up and he finally realised what he had to do late in the fight and then began to brawl, there's no point in explaining to them only some people understand boxing, the majority on here dont, they keep bringing up the losses the Matthysse from the Alexander fight stops Zab simple, he was never stopping Alexander but people seem to think because Alexander quit against Bradley he's got a bad chin
