Alright lads, a day and a bit away from the fight; lets get some final thoughts and predictions:hey For me Khan sticks to the Roach gameplan at the start, gobbling up the early rounds by jumping to the outside, circling constantly, throwing shoeshine combos, and holding onto Kotelnik whenever he gets too close. After the midway point Khan starts to slow down, and Kotelnik begins to find a home for his punches (also, Kotelnik knows he is behind and starts to press the action more). Khan stills throws the odd flurry, and the crowd goes bonkers even though they're not landing, but Andreas is taking the rounds. Coming into championship rounds Khan starts to revert more and more to type, standing and trading with the more accurate Kotelnik. He gets bowled over for an eight count, and then Kotelnik swiftly finishes him off, with the ref waving it off. How do you lads see it going. PS: feel free to quote my prediction when it turns out to be bollox:deal
Think it will be a typical Kotelnik fight: Andriy starts very very slow Khan unloads alot of combo's (possible bull**** stoppage here) After 5 or 6 rounds Khan slows and Kotelnik starts to time him coming in and knocks him down in the 8th. Khan gets up and is either put down for the night or finished in the 9th.
I agree with the perceived wisdom. Kotelnik either catches up with him when he slows down late on, (he's got to slow down, hasn't he?). Or Khan holds on and gets the decision. Those are the two scenarios I see. **** it...Khan.
khan wins witha stoppge rounds 6-8 after a knockdown ref stops it as khan unloads with a half dozen of unanswered shots that look more damaging than they actually are much to the protest of kotelniks corner
BTW my Dad just phoned me and told me the fix is on. Roach says Kotelnik looks flabby around the belly, and therefore Khan will be targeting the body. Thats enough for my pops. Daddy-MAC likes to see conspiracy situations everywhere in boxing, he compares it to WWE.
