Noticed this on the BBC website. Bloody good to see boxing get that kind of audience on terrestrial tv.
I am not sure but I think that is down on what ITV usually get at that time on a Saturday. The ratings are hard to work out because you have to take into account what the show is up against, what preceded it and what came after. The 5.9 rating looks pretty decent when considering the lack of depth of that nights ITV schedule compared to its usual crowd pullers. I wonder what the under card got on ITV4?
Khans next fight in June is his last that he will be contracted to ITV for. Will be intresting to see if Warren wants to keep him there, or make big bucks taking him to Setanta. ITV might not even want him to stick around.
I can't see them wasting their money on Khan. Their fights tend to be at a higher level than the ones he's involved in.
I suspect Setanta cannot afford it. The takeover bid failed big time as they were over valued. They are losing money and have to re-bid for the Football next year. And from personal experience their customer service sucks.... As for ITV; 5.9 Million on the 9-10 slot is mighty fine. This 2008 not 1978.
its celebrity boxing at its most sickening,i wonder how many views witter bradley will get when it is a much higher level fight. and btw how the **** do you have so much vcash
apparantly itv was also screening in major indian cities - i think thats where the numbers may add up
You are thinking like the hardcore fancy. Remember a casual fan has maybe heard of Witter, but presumes (due to hype) he is no Khan.... As for vcash; well I told everyone Marquez beats Paciquao; Trinidad does Jones and the Hitman splatters Lil Floyd, and yet no one listened:yep !!!atsch wait:huh....
Well I wanted my three Sky boxes (you have to pay a tenner for the main box and three pound for each other; which is kept quiet) to pick Sentana; it is supposed to take according to their site between 15 minutes and a hour for that to happen; it took two days and a one hour preminum rate call for me to finally get it sorted!
Apparently Khan v St Clair also got around 5 million viewers. It is a drop in figures from Khan v Earl though - said to be just under 7 million and the highest for a Khan fight.
