Khan lacks power at 140, Maidana and Peterson both walked him down...

    Ortiz hasn't stopped a single world-class opponent.

I think it's clear Khan isn't a big puncher or even heavy-handed at 135. He's fast and can catch opponents by surprise.

    Smh :-(

He just isn't a big puncher. It would help though if he planted his feet and picked his shots more. He has speed to get in shots that fighters don't see coming but he can't seem to do it.

Somebody tell the ****er to calm down. Seems like he takes energy drinks in between rounds cuz he goes crazy throwing punches and running around. Relax Khan!

Come on!!!!! I agree khan isn't heavy handed but Ortiz can bang. He's knocked down every opponent he's fought as a pro other then Floyd. What I was saying is that guys like Peterson and maidana have very good chins.

Ortiz can bang, but he’s no finisher. I agree Lamont is tough but that wasn’t why he survived against Victor, who’s absolutely clueless about how to take anyone out when they don’t go with the first punch.

I’m not criticising Khan for his lack of power, more his lack of application. He can hurt his opponents because he’s got the speed to place sharp, unexpected shots. He doesn’t do that.

Actually it reminds me of Cotto in his first fight with Margarito. He was so intent on getting away that he was stepping off as he was punching: no leverage, no balance and no real effect.

I’d thought he would stop that as he got older and his legs weren’t as sprightly. He hasn’t.

Khan has never had concussive KO power... Allot of his ealry stoppages were due to flurries and bull**** officiating.

Im not sure why Khan negated his jab so much... You've got a guy walking strait at you in strait lines,, stick your jab in his face... If he had power and a snaping jab Peterson wouldnt have been able to walk him down so easy.

His tactics per round seem all over the place to... He cant seem to stick to a game plan for more than 2 minutes per round.

Agreed. Spot on there. He doesn't sit down on his punches enough but punches while moving. One of the few occasions he planted his feet and threw power shots in the 10th it had an effect on Pete and slightly hurt him. If he had done that earlier Pete would have thought twice b4 walking in without caring about what was coming back.

Uh, nah. He's not a natural puncher, when he does seem to hurt or buzz people its as a result of blinding them a little with speed. The surprise element if you will. Which is why it makes sense how he seems to hurt people early but his power fades as they become accustomed to it.

His punching form etc is pretty bad, any power he's getting is coming entirely from speed which is only a starting point for power.

I think his balance, body mechanics and footwork are all much more important than bigger legs (or arms) in throwing more powerful punches...mainly body mechanics.

think he has only stopped 1 fighter with 1 punch.

he aint got a hard shot,a big puncher is born with a big punch.

ive sparred with 6foot5 18stone heavyweights down too 5f5 9 stone lads, and the little lad punched harder,a lot harder.
weight or muscle on legs means nowt.

and like whats been already said, khan won't sit on his punch,he is too busy wanting to throw quantity not quality shots,he loses a ****ing lot of power doing that.

also, his running backwards with his hands around his ears, makes him look absulutly clueless, like a rank amature.
    im suprised at roach.

They may not have respected his power but he had both down early doors...he doesn't lack power he just had an inability to close the show

Bradley hasn't got alot of power either and he's still probably the best at 140

Khan needs to learn to punch correctly whilst standing properly alot of his punches are rushed and on his toes...

Carry out strength training, improve technique and train train train...he still has ten years in the game/.
