Source typically dubious... do most Star readers even know who Duke McKenzie is??

AND.... hardly a 'laying into' even if he said what he did....

Overall, the commentary was very weighted toward Khan I felt.

As they are directly quoting him, surely he could pull them up if he didn't.

The tabloids directly quoted Khan's desire to be a hollywood actor :rofl

Who the **** is this Jim Whatt character?, never heard of him.

Bit of a tip, your post would make marginally more sense if you used one of these "." instead of one of these ",". :thumbsup

It wasn't that Duke was trying to slag him off but it was the way he commentated on the early rounds like he was watching Khan-Malignaggi fight in an alternative universe it was that bad!

Although usually he's much better..... I'd still rather him than Watt though.

I'm trying to imagine Amir saying this in that thick Bolton accent (our version of the southern drawl) and just can't see it.

Amir Khan really needs to chill. Criticism should be like water to a ducks back for him.

I think it's cos the commentary team can't help but concentrate on the British fighter and pretty much pick up on what they are doing or not doing the whole time and only ever give cursory advice about the opponent

Not read the thread but looked over the link, Khan really needs to learn when to shut the **** up eg slating Itv "we gave the fight to itv" etc yeah bawbag, because no other network wanted it you dumb twat, if Sky wanted it there is no way it would have been on council telly but the fact is that his ppv numbers are woeful, particularly for a world champion who is british, he needs to realise that not all media folk are total ass lickers and that constructive critisism is part of the game.

Its not as if Duke came out and said he is a chinless tit who will be blown away as soon as he fights a half decent puncher again is it, which to be fair is the opinion of the majority of folk.

You're spouting absolute undiluted rubbish, Khan could have sold the fight to sky, they would have had it as a double header with the Mitchell fight on SBO, his numbers with ITV weren't too shabby either 600,000 @ 4am, 1.5 mill 10:30am, not to mention 1.5 mill with HBO.

Still sour about the Willie Limond loss it seems..

And no other network wanted it? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Compared to half the **** fights other networks put on, they'd beg for the fight. They gave the fight to ITV for free because Khan was going to get paid a guaranteed amount and Goldenboy wanted to get his stock up, not because Khan wasn't wanted by anyone Lmao. And the deal came late because Mitchell signed a deal with Sky for that day so Khan couldn't get them so it had to be one of the free stations.

And it's the DAILY STAR. Khan might have said this to his mate and it could have got this far. Seriously, think logically and then judge it. If Khan really wanted to go public about it, he could have gone much further.
