Morning everyone, first thread on these boards.

Ive been doing my regular website check this morning and found this one the ring.com http://www.ringtv.com/blog/901/ring_ratings_update/ (Ok I didnt find it, its on the fornt page).

For those 2 lazy to read the whole article here is what im referring to : Khan’s trainer, Freddie Roach, who is given much of the credit for the 22-year-old boxer’s rebirth, says the Bolton, England native is a free agent as of this week.

“The Kotelnik fight was Khan’s last with Frank Warren,” Roach told RingTV.com from his Wild Card Boxing Club on Monday.

The veteran trainer said Khan will field offers from Warren, Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank over the next two weeks, so it appears the young titleholder and his inner circle have some thinking to do.

Warren, Britain’s premiere promoter, has represented Khan since the fighter’s final amateur bout and has promoted all of his professional bouts. Warren developed Khan into a bona fide attraction in Britain (primarily in Manchester and London) and he has the connections -- with UK networks and major venues -- to continue to build Khan regardless of whom the budding star fights.

I thought Warrens contract with Khan was for another 3/4 fights? I am not by any means a Khan fan, but it seems as thought he is about to leave these shores unless a Hatton fight can be done.

Golden Boy will probably snap him up then. Maybe Arum has been tapping him up as well with the rumours of Khan fighting on the Cotto-Pacman undercard still persisting. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Khan sign a new deal with Warren when he had the stint with Rubio? That was only a few fights ago.

Can any fellow ESB'ers who are 'in the know' shed any further light on this?

maybe this has something to do with Khan fighting on a Bob Arum bill in Amercia next - because he will be free to do so out of Frank Warrens clutches.

Manny Pac is promoted by Bob Arum. - Khan a stablemate and shares the same trainer is now based in LA Amercia. So maybe Khan will relocate full time to Amercia and employ a Amercian promoter and **** Warren off...............

Khan would be better off ****ing Warren no-one wants to see Khan fight a no hoper on pay per view all the time. His career will be much more intresting and exciting if he fights out of America from now on.

Warren charged everyone pay per view for Khan V Osin ***an !!!!!

So its clear Warren justs uses Khan as a cash cow. That was a poor fight and mismatch. And OK Khan was coming back off a brutal KO loss and so it was probaly a confidence builder.

But dont charge £15 pay per view for a mismatch confidence builder for ****s sake !!!!

:thinkSomething is going on behind the scenes then. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that- it was around a year ago. Maybe it was only a one year deal or had a world title stipulation in the contract:huh. Would explain why Khan hardly mentoned Warren straight after the fight and only once during the presser afterwards.

Yeah should be fun to see what happens. Every big name ****s off Warren in the end but Khan is only 22 years and only just broken into the World title level and the big pays to come. I'm sure Warren expected to keep him for a few more years yet and squeeze as much cash out of him as he can. Khan is Sports Network biggest attraction at the moment and if he goes it at this stage it would be a major blow.

I think we may have a co promotional team for Khan. Lets say Top Rank in the US and he will still stay with Warren for UK and Ireland. He will want the % he gets from buy rates in the UK and if he gets a % of the buy rates in the US it is more money. At this moment in time he needs the UK more for money wise as he is still a unknown fighter in the US.
