Of course. Maybe this is why Sky kept tirelessly plugging a Hatton bout:think. Like Jeff said, a good post on the board. Jeff's on the case...if you get anything don't post it on here, Jeff. You don't want anymore trouble again- just be cryptic.
If Khan does leave, who does Warren have left to sell tickets? None of the Olympians have as high a profile as Khan did after 3 fights.
He's gotta move Brook on sharpish and protect Mitchell. If Mitchell does beat Matinez then I'd expect a lot of defences at the 02/ other places in London. Other than that he's gonna have to spend a lot of time hyping the olympians up.
The only thing I can see him doing is over protecting Mitchell and building the other 2 Olympians and Gavin up into Stars. The reason Khan was a bigger attraction than the above after 3 fights is because all of Khans were on ITV with 10million viewers, not on Sky sports with 1 million
I advise Khan stays with Warren. It took a loss to change Warren. After the ko Warren had to revitalise his product so he took a genuine risk in MAB (**** hindsight). He paid off. He then took another risk in Kotelnik (albeit calculated). Khan is a genuine champ now. That is to be respected.
Thanks for the read. I was thinking about how long Khan would be sticking around with Warren after picking up a championship. Could be very interesting to see how this pans out, i don't think Warren will let his highest earner go without a fight.
Thanks for the read. Sounds really interesting. Didnt see that one coming. But I do remember Khan having issues with Warren before the Prescott fight. Can anyone remember what exactly happened? Im sure some of the British press will pick this up and have more intel. If I hear anything i'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for the link
Not sure what to make of this. I can see both arguments - why he should leave and why he should stay. If it is a question of loyalty between your trainer and your promoter..... you have to choose the trainer every time, IMO.
Yes - but in this instance, should there be a conflict between the two you should go with the trainer. Not sure why he felt Oliver Harrison wasn't suitable, but anyways.... Dean Powell was only used as a stand-in, and the Cuban guy.... jeez!
After the fight he had against Gomez he resigned for 4 fights i believe, which the thread starter also stated about him having 3/4 fights left, theyve all took place: Prescott, ***an, Barrera, Kotelnik. So it wouldnt surprise me if the contract has expired, i dont think he will change hands though yet.
