Hatton made the move because he wanted to be great more-so than he wanted cash. He already had more than enough money. This is something I personally believe in and something Hatton rarely gets credit for. Khan on the other hand, made the move for more money, opportunities and publicity.
And Froch did it the other way, Fought all around the world, Finland, Taylor in the states and then got the big pay days at home, lets hope he gets his dream and fights in Vagas, he deserves it.
How about the combination punching? Or footwork? Or boxing ability? His success is down to more than speed.
go look at the combos he threw against garcia :rofl and his footwork or the combos against peterson many others to mention also go look at his footwork in the drilzane fight many others to mention to they say two out of three aint bad but the reality is all he as is speed :rofl nice try though
It wasn't just speed that beat Alexander or Collazo - it was effective combination punching, nifty footwork, judgment of distance, all round boxing skill. Khan's speed is a great asset, but don't let it dazzle you into thinking that is his only attribute. He has many others.
Alexander and Collazo aren't great boxers. Collazo was way past his best, and was a recovering alcoholic. Alexander lost to Porter and Bradley, and got a gift against Kotelnik.
Khan's best attribute is HEART. Win or loose he gives is all and dose not go hiding. It will be interesting to see how Broner copes with a loss or weather he goes the same way as jeff Lacy? Khan went again.
The Alexander victory was pretty impressive, it was clinic. Alexander is not ATG, but he is a decent boxer and no one has schooled him like Khan.
They were still evident, but his worst flaw (a dodgy chin) reared its head. You said above that Khan's entire game is speed. My point is that he has more than speed.
Is this the same Alexander that Mayweather predicted would take on his mantle? Alexander is a good fighter like you say, Khan was clinical and just to good. Styles make fights.
I hope so too. Sadly though for Froch, he didn't kick off his professional career with a medal to be as popular as Khan was early in his career. Froch, in my personal view, deserves all the hype, money and attention. The man is a warrior.
