They will only be about 5 lbs different on fight night. With Khan's height and reach advantage, he's arguably the same size as Canelo.
Watch at weigh in, Khan will looks just as big as Canelo, but Khan will be at least 10lbs lighter on fight night..
Khan has normally been the bigger man in the ring when he's fighting but despite his size he isn't a strong powerful man. Canelo if he has out about him should stop Khan in under 5.
and then you see the girth of Canelo. Canelo is much much stronger. Khan can barely handle the strongest 147 pounders nevermind a 160 pounder.
Doesn't matter if he weighs the same or close to it. His strength to weight ratio is below average, he's a daisy. He looks soft at that bodyweight, and he's looked less than stellar with inferior opponents at 140 and 147. Oh, but speed kills, right.....
I agree 100%. Khan and Wladimir shared the same problem, and it wasn't their chins. Wladimir improved defence and he suddenly became unbeatable, Khan is improving his one too, and i'm sure he'll go the distance against canelo (whose power is grossly overrated too, imo)
Once upon a time there was another Light Welterweight who looked far bigger than Canelo, and we all know how that turned out.:rofl http://www.myboxingfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/canelo-lopez.jpg
Khan although taller is much thinner naturally but the weight issue is overstated. They won't be more than 8-10lb apart. Canelo isn't built like an elite boxer though. I bet he'd be a dab hand at bodybuilding if he wanted.
