Well McCloskey in my opinion is a lot more dangerous, slicker, and hungrier than Malignaggi, so if this fight comes off, I would expect *******

I don't know. Sad thing is that they first started calling them that b/c they use to crack the whip on slaves.

I just don't think it's much of an insult if i use to crack your ass that's why you call me cracka.Crazy stuff. glad I didn't live in those times.

Back to boxing. i give ya boy Paul a better chance then i did at first. I still think he will lose:lol: but he may be competitive with Khan for a while. Khan kills short guys with speed and his length, Paul's not short.

I have to laugh at some of the comments on here by people who obviously haven't a clue about boxing. They probably watch one or two major unification fights a year and call themselves great fans and experts.

Granted- there are contenders in the States that I've never heard of but I would never go on a thread and slag them off when I've never even seen them fight. Anyone who does that is just displaying their own ignorance. McCloskey is ranked in the top ten by Ring Magazine and several other major sanctioning bodies. If you haven't heard of him it's probably your own fault and you should re-asses your boxing knowledge.

Naturally, as an Irishman I'm biased and I want to see McCloskey win but I would suggest that anyone who wishes to slag him off has a look at the posts from some of the British guys on here who have seen him and rate him and respect him and don't seem to have a bias.

I have massive respect for Khan and this is going to be a real tough fight for both of them. Khan would be well aware of the danger that McCloskey poses, he would know all of the 140lb fighters in Ireland and the UK and he would know what loosing to an apparent "unknown" would do to his prospects and he's still taking the fight. Some people in the UK still doubt Khan and he probably knows that a win over McCloskey should silence them.

Hopefully it'll be a great fight. Just to let everyone know - the Lauri fight was McCloskey's worse performance and his camp was very disappointed with the performance. He has confirmed that he would take a re-match to set the record straight. Lauri is no joke either, he's been in there with Hatton and Junior Witter.

A boxer fighting a top 10 fighter as a tune up is a disgraceful fight for the sport of boxing? The only disgrace here is your opinion.

The Lauri fight was poor on the whole but got him out of there in the end

Definitely a legit opponent and a great local showdown that should be easy to sell.

I find it funny that the people who are disregarding Paul as a nobody-opponent, are the same people who are demanding Khan to face Prescott instead. Paul is twice the fighter Prescott is, and he is more than worthy of being a stay-busy opponent for Khan. It’ll also be a massive fight here in the UK. The Irish fans will be well pumped in the hope of their guy toppling an English world champion.
