very true, unless HBO or Showtime tell them someone is good they dont believe it

the funniest one was Pirog and Jacobs. Them saying who is he, mismatch bla bla bla, and we all know how that turned out!

What the hell did this guy do to even merit a top 10 ranking?

And why are you praising Ring's top 10 rankings as gospel?

Hes a domestic level fighter and this is just a domestic level type of fight for a world calibur fighter like Khan. Its disgraceful and so are you for trying to defend it (unless you're Irish then I understand, if not eat **** & die).

jesus christ some people are thick. hes beaten everyone available to him at domestic level. hes the european champion and knocked out both his challengers. if you dont trust the Ring how about the WBC or WBA? or is it only the rankings in your head until the commentators on US Tv tell you that someone is good?

have you even watched one of his fights?:-(

A well known amateur, someone who in the trade is respected as a very skilled fighter, who is ranked top 10 by 3 bodies? Whats the ****ing problem?

I understand your one of those pacquiao fans? who only follows stuff about him and not the sport? get your head outa your ass

Im a fan of the sport of boxing and no true fan of the sport of boxing would support this garbage.

This is the thing with you brits, ya'll like hyping up some undefeated domestic level fighter as a world calibur fighter to get him his shot at the very top without having himself work his way up like everyone else then the next thing you know the poor ****er gets KO'd in 1.

And LOL @ you for using that Euro-trash belt to support your argument as to legitmize this fight.
    :patsch:patsch

    Watch more boxing.

oh and I love how you people like to demonize Pacquiao fans as some unintelligble fanbase when they been proving you lot wrong for the last 7 years.

So, Khan vs McCloskey is the reason why David Haye can't fight Wladimir Klitschko in April? What a shame.

I think it is a decent match up and credit should be given to McCloskey as a live underdog. Looking at the styles i have to echo what has previously been stated. I am no fan of khan but he is insanely quick and i feel PM style is perfect for a long range pick him apart fight for khan. McCloskey looks good but maybe out sped. It all depends really - cos khan was in desperate trouble against maidana who just wasn't good enough to finish him off.. If McCloskey cracks the chin (a good chance) is he a good finisher? I get the feeling this is a possibility cos McCloskey looks like he has the precision and killer instinct/ energy to pull it off. Interesting to say the least..

Not interesting enough to stop me feeling really pissed at sky - we are being served up a khan fight instead of Haye vs wlad. Originally peterson which makes it feel even more of a **** take that they didn't even have an opponent for khan..

you may well be right fella.. If i was a betting man i would predict khan a long range affair, too much speed and power.. Credit to Mccloskey though - he looks well rounded.
