Yeah call me a hater but I know my boxing. I don't care what the commentators say Khan is slowing down....which is too bad because he is not looking any better. Abuse me all you like, I'm a boxing fan and I'm calling it now: Khan is on the slide. His speed is going that's all he had he will never be a technical genius - you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Getting ready for the Someguy you're a ****** replies in 3...2....1..
Oh my ****ing god!!!! I just made this post before - before - khan gets kocked down!!! I told you!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha
Virgil Hunter didn't change anything in Khan's boxing, he still keeps his left hand way too low, he still dropped his right way too much and paid the KD price (yet again), the only good things i saw about Khan was he held on every time Diaz hurt him, and traded with Diaz a lot less that in previous fights, he should forget about Floyd or any of the top guys, had that been Matthysse's left hook instead of Diaz's, Khan would of gone to sleep
Khan looked a tad bit better and tighter with his boxing, but he's still got all the same problems. He drops his hands when he punches, leaves his chin exposed , he's too offensive minded , his defense is terrible . He's gotta work on his defense and boxing a lot , or hes gonna end up getitng hurt. I don't see a bright future for him. It's hard to change fighters when they have the mentality to fight a certain way.
I genuinely think he would have done better if he was his 2010 self...but still, he's learning the fundamentals. Sometimes you have to take one step backwards in order to take five steps forward.
It's true and he's not going to get any better. It looks like the punches he took are finally affecting him and too early in his career. His team should pick pocket opponents with no power as they did at Jr. Welterweight to win him some belts and confidence(which will be his first class ticket to his next knockout), though he will always be a knockout waiting to happen. Only tards would expect a new trainer to change someone who has fought this way his entire career. A new trainer can slightly improve certain aspects but a complete revamp is close to impossible.
Learning?, he has 31 professional fights, it's too late to learn. He can add new tricks at best, nothing more.
Problem with Khan is if he gets hit on his chin he becomes frozen for 30-60 seconds. His punch output stumbles to 0 and he starts stumbling around. Just not good enough to hang with the big boys.
