Well, let's face it...before people didn't know too well how to crack Amir, hence why Maidana and Peterson didn't go for it in the right way, but Garcia set the blueprint, and Julio is using the blueprint.

It's not too difficult to beat Amir anymore. Lamont is quite a big puncher too who, fortunately for Amir was mainly going for the body in their fight (which was the wrong tactic), but Lamont will beat Amir now too. I say Lamont, because Lamont is the easiest fight out of the three (Garcia, Matthysse, Lamont).

He looked a lot better with Roach of course there was his chin issues but a coach cant do **** about it, if he fights someone like Mathysse i fear he will get seriously hurt.

i remember watching one of the contender seasons the one bika won, when they were try outs they were testing for a boxers reaction time, and allot of fighters were deemed unfit to carry on based on this. i think if khan did the same test he'd fail too. he's not that good anymore, his speed is gone, and he couldnt even hurt diaz a guy who's been KO'd multiple times in the past. There are no improvements he's just become worse. I think he should maybe fight guys with less power from now onwards pick up a title and then cash out, he might be able to beat guys like ricky burns and schenkoe

Yeah I think you're spot on here. It was two tough breaks in a row for Khan. First he boxes his socks off, wins by 5 points on one card, only to lose by 1 point on the two other cards. (that's brutal) then right when he's set for a rematch, Peterson had the PED issue and that fight was called off. Second bummer in a row. Think about how that decision vs Peterson changed the course of his career. Lets say he wins that decision and walks away with those belts. Then he doesn't have to deal with any of that Peterson drama, and goes right into another fight, maybe with Garcia, or maybe someone else first. Instead he waits on Peterson, then he goes in there against Garcia, puts on a show, a boxing clinic for 2 rounds, then gets absolutely flattened.

I agree about the trainer part of it. i don't think people really thought Hunter would make him a changed fighter, but I don't necesarily think Hunter is making him any worse either. It takes a while to build chemistry between boxer and trainer. We will see if Hunter is making a difference when he is in a big fight. One thing that was weird was that Virgil Hunter didn't come into the ring and talk to him directly between every round. instead Khan had to look left between rounds to listen to Hunter. Roach at least got in there between rounds and tried to motivate Khan. Hunter has a much different style. I think Hunter is a great trainer in the gym, but in the actual fight, between rounds, it's a different style then Roach to say the least. Only time will tell if he can make Khan a better fighter.

I honestly don't think defense is his problem, obviously if he was a rigo in there it would help him tremendously. But he is so fragile, that all it takes is one punch. A lot of fighters lack on the defensive side, none are this weak.

Defense is part of the problem. Despite his length and supposed athletic ability, the guy is much too easily hit.

Add that to a weak chin and, well, you can do the rest.

So Garcia, Maidana and Judah were without power?

  8. floyd would knock him out. floyd hurt mosley, cotto (at 154), marquez and countless other fighters with solid beards. khan wouldnt stand a chance.

his punch resistance has gone worse and hes become a tamed fighter but without the improve ddefence. He is finished.. Sad since he had mad potential
