Khan "Maidana isn't my mandatory fight so it can't even go to purse bids"

Khan's right Maidana isnt his madatory..... Maidana is the WBA Interim champ which is better then being a madatory because if Khan refuses to fight him he will be stripped and Maidana will be given the WBA title instead of having to fight for the vacant title. Khan isnt the brightest crayon in the box now is he?

Maidana is not a good boxer and is worryingly slow.

He's going to get his biggest pay-day and his biggest beating all on the one night.

 

I don't get it? I'm not a particularly big Khan fan, but I was always led to believe that the Champion was entitled to the bigger purse and to get to pick the venue? If Maidana really wants to win the full belt, then he should drop everything and fight for it. It seems like its Maidana believing that he is now billy big bollocks that is holding this deal back. When did he become a draw? In fact, apart from Ortiz quitting, who has he beaten? A dodgy performance against a completely shot Chop Chop? Load of bollocks. Khan is in the right for once.

 

Just because he will probably lose, doesn't mean he should take a substandard offer.

Yeah this is true. If your a mandatory. Maidana isn't, he's the interim champion. Effectively co-champion, which entitles him to 45%. They just don't want to pay him and so are crying about how much more he'd earn than his last fight etc

or he accepts that maidana is entitled to 45% because he is interim.

or he moans like a ***** on boxing websites so that maidana accepts a **** offer when he is entitled to more.

Going to purse bid Maidana would make only 45% of purse as interim champion. So I don't think its fair to say he is pricing himself out and it looks like Marco really wants this fight.

 

Just for his cheek, I hope Khan has to fight in America (or better yet Argentina), Maidana gets his full 45% and sparks Khan out embarrasingly early.

I think Khans saying he wants the fight in the UK because he doesnt want to fight at all, and because if he does have to fight, hes more likely to get a favourible decision victory in the UK...i hope he gets sparked right out, no matter where it is. All his hype, ducking and twitter bollocks has made me think hes full of ****.
