Floyd needs to fight pac first before Khan, but if Floyd did it the other way around, FLoyd is indeed a DOAT!

    BTW, who's in your av???:admin:admin:admin

.... to save GBP from financial ruins. Floyd owes GBP

In the back of my mind, maybe Schaeffer sabotaged the negotiation between Pac and Floyd to set up Floyd-Mosley.

...and I would not be surprised if Oscar take a tuneup fight next year and then fight Floyd right after.

    Floyd-Khan
    Floyd-DLH
    Floyd-Pac

I would love to see Khan v Mayweather.

If anything its a nice match-up for Khan. By that I mean Mayweather, as supremely skilled as he is, is not what you would call a KO artist.

I would still expect Mayweather to win a close SD or MD. But that certainly wouldnt damage Khans career/legacy.

 at all this talk about Mayweather vs Khan being a joke...

Khan is better opponent at this stage then

    JMM was at 147
    Baldomir was
    Gatti was

and would probably wind putting up a better effort then a 40 year old Mosley.

I get a kick out of all this talk about how Khan is all of a sudden not good enough to even fight Mayweather from Mayweather fans, when it was alright for JMM to jump a few weightclasses to give it a go, when most people were going to comfortably pick Khan to beat JMM (including JMM's own people probably, which is why they didnt take the fight)

but all of a sudden, Khan just isnt good enough to get in the ring with Mayweather?

Khan is as good a fight as any not including Martinez/Pac IF hes able to keep winning impressively in his next 2 or so fights. Would be a nice fight if Mayweather isnt going to fight Martinez (ya right) or Pac (if anyone was holding their breath for this fight they would have been dead by now)

When was the last time Mayweather even fought a young fighter in his prime with the size, speed, and skills of Khan? This fight is fine and would be a nice changeup.

**** me Kirk, whats wrong with you mate?

Mayweather would have Khan in the hospital in under 20 minutes........Khan would be all set for a chin replacement

    Dont think so, at all.

And regardless of the outcome, I am sick to death of this mentality of

'No no no, not that fight, Mayweather wins easily'

Ive never seen a fighter never have to fight anyone more then Mayweather because of what he COULD do. Didnt have to fight Margarito because he would school him. Didnt have to fight Cotto cuz hed school him. Hell, why even fight anymore, whats the point of actually getting into the ring, we all know whos going to win anyways right?

Thats a stupid way to approach the sport, IMO.

I want to know who, besides,
    - Martinez
    - Pac
    - Bradley (should he beat Alexander)

that would be SO MUCH better then a Khan whos coming off a Maidana victory and maybe a fight or two more, hitting his stride and on the top of his game.

Its a refreshing fight with Mayweather in there with someone who has a mix of size, talent and actually in his prime, with a good coach behind him.

Not to mention, the actual style matchup here, in which if you actually analyse it, does not equal a 'Mayweather destruction'.

But, besides those three, what realistic opponent is THAT much better then Khan?

Well Floyd is the master boxer...
Khan is by comparison an amateur and would be exposed as such....

This game comes down to skills....which Mayweather has in spades....

Mayweather would thoroughly pick apart Khan and expose him for the amateur his truly is...and probably KO him early...

I once thought as you kirk, I then realized Dirrell will no longer box so the only true master of the sport is Floyd Mayweather..too..much..skill

None of that really has much to do with what I am saying, at all. At all. Nobody ever denies Mayweathers skills, nobody. But I would bet whatever that Mayweather wouldnt stop Khan early (if Khan is able to get past Maidana) but thats simply a difference in opinion. OF COURSE Mayweather would be the fav.... again, so what? lol....

Again, you are basing this fights worthiness on that.... Mayweather would win. this fight is better then a few of the fights Mayweather has had.

One eather sees it or not I suppose, but eather way, Khan vs Mayweather aint the end of the world, it would be a nice fight to see and for Mayweather to take.

However you didnt answer my question. Besides Martinez/Pac and if Bradley beats Devon, who is so much better for Mayweather to fight then a big fight against Khan in the UK? Or is it better Mayweather just stays inactive and we can all just talk about who he COULD beat in fantasy matchups, as usual.

Fair enough. Those would be without a doubt, EPIC fights.

Those fights aint happening though (doubtful, would love to eat my crow on that).

So, would you rather just not see Mayweather fight at all, then to fight Khan at the end of 2011 should Khan still be on the rise? :huh

Hes going to have to fight sooner or later, and if its not against them, Khan is as good as anyone not named Pac or Martinez and that JR would realistically face (meaning they have a following of some sort). Thats the bottom line.

    Precisely.
    Why dumb down?

Why ruin a decent boxers chance of success?

After getting schooled by the best there are few career options left.....

Maywaether is no ko artist but i bet he punches as hard or harder than any of khans previous opponents. More importantly he is accurate and is now a fully fledged WW. Floyd is a class above for anyone so Roach stating khan would take him needs to wind his neck in.
