Khan uploaded a clip of his mittwork with Hunter on his Instagram. Is it just me, or does Khan look a lot slower than before? http://instagram.com/p/vpbVF8gng4/
Different drill. If you put roach in front of him and they started working those short quick punches he would look just as fast as before.
Hey, in order to perfect a technique or practice a drill or combination, it has to be done slow to perfect the form.
I remember Hunter saying he wants to have Khan used to such drills, focussing mainly on repetitiveness or something along those lines. So we're seeing power and accuracy here. Although I second what mmalik 37 said above, Amir does look sluggish as hell though. I hope Virg isn't taking away his speed and replacing it solely with just power and accuracy. Devon's a tricky sumbi.tch.
Practice makes permanent not perfect. Always do your drills slowly then work your way up in speed. Remember when we see those 24 7's and Floyd on the pads it like 2 weeks before the fight.
His technique and form looks great here. He keeps improving every camp, looking forward to seeing him in december.
Khan's going to get KO'd even more by the time he turns 30. His style relies HEAVILY on his speed, and without it, he has a glass jaw and a low ring IQ.
Khan has been in a long 12 week camp, he will be 100% in top form.. I believe we will see the best Amir Khan under Hunter to date..
Need to if he's going to get everyone behind him vs Mayweather. He looked shocking against Diaz, very beatable. He fought a intelligent composed fight against a shopworn Collazo. But although he dropped Collazo there where times when he was landing clean and Collazo was walking through them. This is his first quality opponent since Garcia.
