i think they should have thrown him in with another top 10 fighter not some one as average as molina, he could have fought Denis Shafikov the guys is basically a midget with an undefeated record whos fought at european level and has an average punch i know molina is all that but at least shafkov has a world rating at 140, molinas basically a nobody

to rebuild his confidence right? The boy Khan has to shine and get his mind right after the last two (3 if you count the birmingham beatdown) Losses.

If Amir loses on saturday then its pretty much goodbye Amir.

Shafikov would be too dangerous, Molina is a good comeback fight, and a potential banana skin IMO

i remeber hearing a vid from before the fight about how the left hook was dangerous and could knock you out from freddys own mouth. I think Freddy was right to teach khan the way he has, knowing he's not going to be able to learn slick moves because he's not got the mind/brain for that style.

Freddy just wanted him to be in - out. Khan was lingering in the pocket too long and evewntually got timed.

I doubt he can benefit from virgils expertise and will revert to type when pressured.

The only thing about freddy, he wasn't giving khan his time and spending too much time following manny to phillipines etc.

I seriously doubt team khan really expected freddy to make Khan number 1 and Amir has said as much, that Manny is number 1. What they probably said was we can't stay with you any longer freddy but we would if Khan could be number 1 - which we know you won't do. For Roach to ***** about that is him just being bitter and denying how shitty they treated khan (in terms of priority) at times.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing Angel Garcia pop up somewhere during the weigh in.

Was listening to something Hunter said to Nelson when he was visiting Khan's camp. Said he was surprised when Khan told him he has never stayed active between fights. What exactly does he mean by staying active though, doing a bit on the treadmill, weights ? Seen Khan a lot between fights before giving interviews and he always looks in decent shape. Hunter said Khan has wasted 3 and a half years of between fight time since he turned pro, by not staying active.

If he means sparring..? This is a great way to beat the **** out of fighters and shorten their careers.

Amir Khan is always in shape, he is always doing some sort of conditioning.

Sparring all the time is overrated.

He means just going to the gym and working on his craft, outside of preparing for a fight. It doesn't have to be sparring. You do that as a prep for a fight. But just continuing to learn and work on your skills. That's pretty shocking if all the boxing training he did was just before fights and nothing inbetween. Most fighters will go back to the gym and work even if they have no idea when their next fight will be.

Just seen adam smith interview Khan on SSN after the weigh in and I quote, Khan says; Since he has joined Virgil Hunter "he has become a beaten version of Andre Ward". My god that was SO cringing.
