I always thought khan had what it takes to be great, but after his last 4 fights I just don't think he's mentally capable.

Khan is fun to watch, that's good enough for me.

He does seem to lack that certain 'something' (I don't mean chin, his is probably average) that would make him great. And while he's not old, he's also not a kid anymore in terms of boxing years.

He'll make a bunch of money by the time he calls it a career, he'll have notched some good wins, some spectacular losses and all and all will be remembered as a 'good, not great' fighter. Nothing wrong with that, not everyone can be Ray Leonard.

Doesn't have the brains or the skills. He never did.

His skills have always been overrated.

Just because you have some speed and range, it doesn't mean you have top notch skills.

It's made for some entertaining fights.

Most statements he has made in the past imply hopes of an early retirement for Khan.

He's been biding time to get a Floyd fight because he knows if he has to go out and actually earn it against a top 10 WW, or maybe even two of them, he has a slim chance of ever making it through and earning a Floyd fight on WW merit.

He's taken a lot of punishment for a young fighter. I hope he retires soon with his health.

khans boxing IQ is so far below Mayweathers that khan would never be able to beat him.

Khans on the slide mate, he has been for some time, the hiding he took from Garcia has all but finished him at the top level.

His reflexes are visibly slower, his movement has ceased, he is a flat footed, straight puncher who cannot take a good shot. He's done, the evidence is all there.

Golden Boy and Khan are cashing out with the Mayweather fight, the lad knows its over, thats why he wants the big one now.

If he had the smarts, then he wouldn't be Amir Khan.

I may seem like I hate Khan but it's really how much I hate how people overrate speed and ignore little things like, you know, actual technical skills.

His skills are terribly overrated. A fighter lacking fluidity who is mediocre to poor in the areas of footwork, accuracy, instincts, defense, ring smarts, balance....oh but he has great tools because he has some speed lol

I don't know if he will ever make himself a p4p player, but almost a year out of the ring waiting on a Mayweather fight can't be good for his career.
