Khan needs to move upto 147 fast, I say one more fight at 140 with Bradley

He accidentally plants it early to help him win the rounds before he accidentally lands it again to finish it.

He's just using his natural advantages. His super-round head is just like Khan using his quick hands, baby.

 

I don't think weight explains Khan's sloppiness. He has fast hands, but after that? Not an awful lot. He still backs up in straight lines, still throws five or six shot flurries with no real plan, and he still misses with his jab pretty consistently.

Roach is obviously trying his best, but Khan's just dim-witted. He hasn't got the brains to execute what Roach is teaching him.

Bradley, once he works out how to get on the inside, will eat Khan up.

 

True. It looks like Khan was right to pick McCloskey for a tune up after all!

 

This still seems to be the main problem. They did a decent job of papering over the cracks against certain types of fighter but in the last couple of fights its began to unravel a little again.

He's hiding behind that handspeed at the moment. If he didn't have it he would be useless. That sounds a stupid thing to say since he does have it, but you don't really want to be so one dimensional you only have one thing and after that you're struggling. If somebody finds the key to neutralizing that aspect of his game he's going to be ****ed. McCloskey neutralized him defensively, he could predict Khan's attacks easily, he just wasn't overall skilled enough to initiate things himself. Tim Bradley probably will be.

I guess we will know on July 23rd.. Short of Bradley having a bad night at the office, Khan will be found severely lacking unless he undergoes radical improvement on his last few bouts

I honestly feel it'll be a great fight. Both fighters will actually have to pressure to win. The one shot Amir needs to watch out for constantly is the right hook.

The same punch that decked Witter. The same punch that caught Lamont. The same punch that hurt Abregu. He's used it on every tall opponent he's faced and Amir got hammered with that punch against Maidana.

If he lands that again and again, Amir will lose.

 

Tim has a fine style to trouble Khan. Tim is a jack of all trades, he'll find a way to cause problems in this fight. Khan really only fights 1 way.

 

It was an overhand right which put Witter down.

 

Ridiculous looping right hand as I remember. Witter was a spaz getting hit with that.

 

Bradley was up against Alexander in what many thought was a 50/50 fight and still won despite looking ****.

Khan was fighting a handpicked guy in McCloskey who'd never ventured above Euro level.

Difference is you weren't impressed by Tim Bradley against Devon Alexander, one of the best fighters in the division whereas McCloskey has only ever fought domestic fighters and Euro stiffs.
