may be too late for that. somewhat like the klitschko-brewster rematch. klitschko didn't get much props for that IMO

With Prescott losing on Friday night fights to a some what a journeyman...I dont think the fight should happen now...Kahn can move on to bigger things now.

True. The Vazquez loss would mean Khan could be taking a step backwards, considering a big money match with Morales is on the cards. I would also prefer Maidana/Salita to happen.

Prescott might push for the fight, as there is money to be made there.

The Brewster rematch happened several years later, and after Brewster had been severely injured and in semi-retirement.

Prescott may have lost, but there hasn't been that kind of water that's passed under the bridge with Prescott yet. I think a rematch, if they fight next time out, would still be very meaningful for Khan.

And in general, no matter what, it always looks better to have avenged a loss at some point than to never have avenged it.

Khan would boost his legacy if he got revenge on Prescott because getting revenge is just as good as being undefeated (like for example Paul Wiliams)....but that was before Prescott lost. The fight would be pretty pointless at this stage of both fighters' career.

That was an obvious move from Warren man. He signed Prescott and sent him out to fight up and comers who all had chances over him while continuing to promote/advertise Khan in hope of letting people forget by getting Prescott to lose. They barely promoted ANY of the matches Prescott was involved in.

Now that he lost expect Warren to come out and say "Oh he lost to an unknown, pointless, Khan is off to do better things" and he's doing that for good reason, the man got destroyed under one minute. Regardless of the improvements he adds he will still be overcautious and slightly nervous going in a rematch and that's normal. You don't see Khan bringing up Prescott at all either. Other fighters don't avenge your loss, you do it yourself. Pacquiao could have ignored Morales too after the Raheem loss but he didn't care since Raheem obviously doesn't represent him. Another good example is Lewis/McCall, Lewis beats Bruno then loses to McCall. Bruno beats McCall and still Lewis fought McCall in a rematch. He could have ignored it and said "He lost to a guy I beat anyway, I'm off to do bigger things".

A rematch would be great. I'd love to see Khan get knocked out cold again.

I don't think Khan NEEDS to get revenge, sometimes a boxer just calls it that he lost and moves on. But it sure wouldmake for some great drama if he pursued it. In the past some fighters couldn't rest till they got revenge, would be interesting.

Sorry, but there's just no way Prescott's on the radar just now. I'd be astonished if they went that route.

If the next fight is going to be in the States then I think it's got to be Maidana or Salita as servo has said. Salita is who I'd go for if I was advising him....I think Khan would overwhelm him. Maidana looks a tighter fight to me....so I'd revisit that idea later.

I see your points and I do agree to some extent...First let me say...I cant stand that piece of **** Warren...He kinda reminds me of Bob Arum...Yesterday I lied but today I telling the truth...There is no doubt in my mind Warren snake ass probably did come up with that type of plan...Given his past actions and his past antics...you sure as hell cant put it past a snake\fake like Warren.

I guess this is our difference...IMO Prescott has to work his way to back up for him to get his name back out there like it was at first when he KO'ed Kahn...I do agree that the Prescott loss will still linger over Kahn's head if he doesnt avenge it...that part is obvious, but the point is you know you will have some people that will scream that Kahn just fought a bum or whatever these worthless assholes like to come up with....(even though Prescott just beat him the last time they met) I was only trying to look at it from a whole...I sure wish he would have fought Prescott before he lost because that would have erased any doubt that I had...(cant speak for anybody else though)

Khan needs to rematch Prescott. But first, Prescott needs to rematch Vazquez, and if Bum beats Vazquez, he needs to rematch Bum. Lol, those are a lot of rematches.

It doesn't work that way. Kotelnik shits all over Prescott's quality, unbeaten or not.

I think its a lose lose situation for Khan 2 be honest.. If he loses his careers takes another huge blow if he wins everyone will just say well you just beat someone whos not that good anyway because of the Vasquez loss.. I think prescott starches him again just a bad stylistic match up for Khan. and im a big big khan fan. he myt have a chance of beating him at 140 though

Warren just does what others do, this is what these guys do and have to do, Don King and others aren't better.

They had zero plans to fight Prescott, Khan didn't have one fight only after that loss but THREE and one was in a new weight division. That's enough proof they want none of it and will most likely totally ignore it.
