Khan needs to stop Peterson and look good in doing so..

    If Khan wants to land that prize fight with Floyd next year then he needs to put on a boxing clinic vs Peterson to send a message to 147 top fighters that I am coming and I mean business.

    If Khan stops Peterson then he no doubt has the best active 140 record beating even Bradley's record at 140.

    I feel the age and timing is right for Khan to move upto 147 as he will fill into that weight better than 140 now.

    I hope Khan's debut at 147 is vs Kell Brook back at home, that would be a decent testing the water at the weight fight, plus it's a good British match up.

    Not really.

    If he doesnt look amazing there Bradley will probably step up and win will set up a floyd fight.

    I hope Khan stays well away from floyd he just isnt good enough

    Peterson is just a stepping stone fight. against a fighter who is solid but not spectacular in anyone area. If khan wins a clear UD it will be fine and move on to the next challenge who ever it maybe.

    Khan hasn't got to do anything but keep winning.

    Still not sure of the logic that Khan beating guys ranked 5 and 6 in the division proves he's better than Bradley though but that's another story.

    I agree, show who's boss at the LWW division...

    Bradley will avoid Khan anyway, so why not send a statement.
    Sadly it means that there won't be a Ring champion anytime soon.

    I beg to differ, in stopping Peterson something Bradley and Ortiz failed to do would give Khan the better standing in my view.

    Overall comparing Bradley vs Khan's record at 140 I think Khan has the edge if he beats or stops Peterson, again your view might differ to mine but I respect that.

    Nah. He'll get that fight regardless of whether he looks good or not. He just has to remain undefeated from now and until then.

    I agree but I think making or putting on a great show never does any harm, it's about generating hype around you, get the casual fans talking so the fight in the U.S has real interest also.

    Khan has to make sure Peterson don't make him look bad like the McCloskey fight, he has to keep his profile in the States rising.

    Khan has Maidana, Kotelnik and Malignaggi. Bradley has Witter, Holt, Peterson and Alexander (no 3 in the division at the time, IIRC). Once you add Peterson on to Khan’s record there’s very little between them.

    Cant see him stopping Peterson. If Peterson showed one thing against Bradley its that he's a fairly tough guy. I'd question whether Ortiz legitimately hurt Peterson to.

    If Khan gets a stoppage it will be with one of those girl flurries where by Peterson shells up for too long imo
