Or at least to the cards for a TD. From the WBO rules:

"The protective cups and mouth protectors shall be compulsory for all boxers
participating in championship contests. A World Championship contest is not to
be terminated by a low blow, as the protector that contestants use must be
sufficient to withstand any low-blow which might incapacitate a contestant
    (Please refer to Section 27(b)(13))."

Regarding fouls the WBO follow association boxing rules.

    1. If an accidental foul causes an injury severe enough for the referee to stop the bout after four ( 4) rounds have occurred, the bout will result in a TECHNICAL DECISION awarded to the boxer who is ahead on the score cards at the time the bout is stopped.
    a. Partial or incomplete rounds will be scored. If no action has occurred, the round should be scored as an even round. This is at the discretion of the judges.

    13. A fighter who is hit with an accidental low blow must continue after a reasonable amount of time but no more than five (5) minutes, or he/she will lose the fight.

It was absolutely the correct outcome. Khan and his corner should know this so they quit the fight.

I don’t have a problem with Khan not wanting anymore of the Crawford smoke. He was out of his depth as soon as the fight was announced imo. I just couldn’t believe what I was reading when people gave Khan a chance or at least that he would be winning the fight at the time of the inevitable stoppage.

What I do have a problem with is him taking the shine off another fine dominant performance by Crawford by quitting and blaming ‘the low blow’. Unless Picasso constructed his genitals, it was on the thigh.

There's no way of getting away from it, Khan quit because he knew it was only a matter of time before he got KTFO. Even if the pain was unbearable at that moment (thought it looked more thigh than balls but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt) why didn't he take the 5 minutes to try and recover? He quit, plain and simple which is sad to see.

Now he can go away and come back in a year or so and torment Brook again giving him hope that he'll finally fight him. Maybe he eventually does fight him for his last big pay day before retirement. His quit job last night just about keeps that fight alive.

He seriously needs to retire. Khan doesn't have the brains to fight at that level. With his level of denial just hope someone steps in to talk him into retirement before long. Gonna end up getting hurt.

Hes had a good enough career...which benefited mostly because he was the a side following the Olympics that let him pick opponents that suited him....usually smaller men or guys that we,rent doing great in their careers. He's not good enough at the top level tho. No shame in that. He's gave it his best....but starting to look dangerous now his speeds leaving him and he's taking on guys that aren't completely hand picked for him.

Should have gone out on his shield like he normally does that's what he was all about his reputation is in tatters now. He was booked for the highlight reel KO and didn't deliver. Arum must be fuming.

Here's a funny one lads. In the post fight presser, Crawford said to Khan that the shot hit him on the leg. To which Khan replied; "I haven't seen the replay".

I know Khan isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but my God that's bad.

He was complaining about his right hand for 2-3 rounds before he pulled out. Did anyone else notice that? He said to Hunter about it several times in between rounds.

Either he was genuinely injured and looking a way out, or this was a cunning ploy to create an excuse for a way out. Bud just gave him a different excuse

Ye Hunter knew Khan wanted out. That's why he gave him the choice when a seemingly good exit plan was created with the low blow
