Amir is hoping to unify the division by beating Alexander and then will probably move up in weight to capture a belt there

Prescott has been exposed twice and is clinging on to Amirs name because thats all he has.

I don't want to see Amir v Prescott, I would much rather see Amir v Berto, Mayweather, Marquez e.t.c. Real fighters who are proven, not hype jobs based on a padded record in Columbia and a big shot against a weight drained future star with a poor defense at the time

Clinton was fighting all the way upto 1998 when he got Ko'd by Robert Fredericks. hopkins could have still rematched him just like he did to jones and taylor

 

Prescott isn't a complete bum that people make out. 23 wins and 2 losses on the scorecards. Is not a too shabby record really. I don't blame Amir for avoiding the fight. Having to survive against Madiana, and going on to fight a guy that knocked him out in one round. Well, that takes quite a lot of bottle...

 

Lsat time i checked Khan had not retired, so why does he have to take it now when there is much more to gain by taking bigger better fights.....

He will take the fight but it makes no sense whatsoever taking it now. Its not smart business and its not important to his career.... at this stage. think about it.

He is on the verge of becoming 140 champ, Prescott is currently rebuliding himself and its a fight he can take at any time as prescott will always take it and take peanuts for the fight.

Plus he needs and easy fight in between him and Bradley. So let him finish the 140 division off, then he can take prescott.

The fight will happen, just when its right for him.

 

The truth is, Prescott is basically a journeyman.

I know people want to see the fight, but there is no point in it, Prescott lost his meal ticket when he got taken to school by Kevin Mitchell,

this is boxing, theres no ****ing about, you lose like that, but still pose a threat, you don't get a shot at a world champion, who promoters have a lot riding on.

 

Presscot got left behind, and Khan stepped up... kinda like what Vic did. Until Presscot does something noticeable, i dont think Khan's gonna fight him again.

 

Prescott isnt even 1x as good as McCloskey!

Hmmm, let's think this through....

Head towards unifying the 140 division by fighting Bradley, taking on JMM after, and making a move up to fight the likes of Berto, Mayweather, etc....

...or fight a 135-pounder who's been irrelevant for 2 years now.

Maidana is a billion times the fighter that Prescott is and deserves a rematch with Khan.

I would rather Khan rematch Maidana at some point, maybe after Khan vs Bradley.

Maidana should fight and beat judah, then that way Khan can have another Unification fight against Maidana after the Bradley fight. I'm sure HBO would love a Rematch especially if Maidana can get a paper belt.

But realistically if Khan beat Bradely, he will move up to 147 and i don't blame him if he does because theres big fights up there too.

 

I guarantee the general public won't have known any of Khans last few opponents. Even my firends who follow boxing a little bit hadn't even heard of Maidana! And i bet no casual fan has even heard of Bradley. Brits will just pay to watch Khan or Haye fight anyone really, as sad as that is.

 

Who cares if he hasn't done anything since. As a boxer you should want to avenge a loss like that and get rid of that Ghost. It's more about pride. The fight would sell big over here in the UK too.

presscot got outboxed by our domestic super featherweight kevin mitchell, mcloskey is a couple of levels above mitchell.

 

its always good to avenge a loss but i dont understand why anyone would be interested in watching that fight, it would be boring as ****, khan has improved tremendously since then he would most likely hit and move all night like the slow kevin mitchell did.

 

Pacquiao ddnt avenge his loss against Singsurat.

Wlad didnt avenge his Loss against Purrity.

Hopkins didnt avenge his loss against Mitchell.
